So, I finally broke down to post, so I am doing p90x I am on Day 40, and the work out is going great or atleast I thought it was. I weighed myself on one scale in the beginning and a few different ones during the first month. The most one of the scales said was 186, I now have my own scale and it registered me at 178. Im pretty sure I have lost weight and gained muscle, but most people are dropping like 10 lbs, a month. I dont want to be ridiculous, but I do want to see results. Can some one help me. I want to be healthy and in shape!!

How have you been eating during this time. That would have an effect on how much you lose. Also, if you were in pretty good shape to begin with and didn't have a lot of fat to lose, that would affect how much you would show as weight loss. How do your measurements compare? Do your clothes feel looser?

Could just be the difference between the first scale and the one you purchased. Are you seeing any difference in how you're clothes fit? You may be able to see the difference there if not on the scale.
  • It's better to go by the inches that you lose rather than weight. I am assuming you are a female? If so, you will see your biggest changes in the last 30 days. I am currently on day 69 and I have dropped one pant size. As of day 60 I have lost a total of 11.5 inches and 6 pounds.

Hang in there and you will see the results you want. Day 40 is still early in the game! Did you take measurements? Are you following the nutrition guide? Are you using the beachbody message boards? I have learned alot from them and they provide motivation and support.

I peaked at your food diary. Are you really eating that many calories or is it more? I hopes it not less!! If you eat too few calories you will never lose weight. Your body will store whatever you eat as fat because it is starving. Are you drinking atleast 64 oz of water a day?

My eating has been ok, it definitely is better than it use to be but I some time slip up after dinner. I have been trying to get 1500 calories in, but its hard because I am also trying to keep carbs down.

My clothes are looser and my bras definitely fit different. I have have lost a few inches and gained some on my arms which I am ok with.. my stomach sometimes looks different, but I have kinda stopped looking because I dont want to dwell on it.

I have been eating that or more.. its just hard because Im trying to eat alot but keep the carbs down.. I need help with the food portion.
  • I don't know how tall you are or what you currently weight so i'm not sure how many calories you should be consuming. I try to eat around 1500-1600 a day myself. I would just go by how you feel during the workouts. If you feel tired and don't have enough energy I would try adding 100 calories a day until you feel better. If you feel fine I would stick where you are.

Did you do day 0 pics and day 30 pics? Are you doing Classic, Lean or Doubles?

Yes I took pictures a few days into it, they aren't great because I took them myself, then I took pictures at Day 30, small changes. I have 5'7 1/2 I am trying to eat around 1500 calories.. I might have to cut the low carb to get those in.

I started with Lean, and then I moved to Classic in the second phase
  • Chicken, fish, veggies and turkey are some good foods to help you increase your calories and keep your carbs down.

By the way...Congrats on making it to day 40!! A lot of people don't make it past the first week. You should be proud of your self for sticking with it.

thanks I appreciate that.. yeah I have had a lot of chicken, and turkey, not so much fish, and trying to eat a lot of veggies. I take Shakeology, and I just order the 2 day fast , and I am taking the slimming formula, I have 5 servings of proteins I just have been flopping after dinner and sometimes snacking.
  • I love Shakeology!

If you feel the urge to snack after dinner I would try eating some nuts, veggies or a piece of fruit. It's not entirely bad if you snack after dinner if you make smart choices.

I buy 100 Cal packets of almonds and I eat those if I am hungry after dinner. It helps me with portion control as well.

jme4ya25, down from 186-178 on day 40 of your progrem is good progress. You are on the right track. Just stay dedicated to your program..both the exercise and nutrition and results will continue to come. Don't worry to much about the scale. Use a mirror, the mirror will tell you the truth. side by side pictures each week to track progress is very helpfull. Of course clothes fitting looser is a positive sign also. Keep up the great work. :)

THe problem is tht 186-178 Im not sure if that is true or not.. Im not sure if the first scale was wrong...if the scale was right, then I definitely have nothing to worry about.. thanks for the encouragement!
