Running and knee pain

Here's my problem:
I recently had to return my amazing minimalist running shoes because I completely destroyed them (looks like a dog mauled them) and order a new pair. My new shoes won't arrive for another week to a week and a half, so I've been running in my old (though still newish--less than 200 miles on them) trail running shoes, but they're killing my knees and I can't run as fast or as far with them on (I have absolutely zero pain with my minimalists and feel like I can run forever in them).
I'm currently training for a half marathon in November and don't want to lose the momentum that I've built up with my runs. I run 3-4 days a week 4-6 miles and 1 day a week 10+ miles. Should I just suck it up and run through the pain, or should I do something else for now and wait until I get my new shoes? (The logical side of me says don't run, but serious runners can be crazy and anything but logical--unfortunately I am one of those crazies
)
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

How is your IT band?
Not so good right now. It actually hurts when I walk down stairs right now...but I think if I was doing something lower impact it would be okay.0 -
Maybe try a slow jog in place while barefoot on the carpet at home?0

Buy a pair of thick socks and run in those or run barefoot. I would not run in shoes causing pain, especially to a joint.0

I wouldn't risk it. If the shoes are hurting your knee find and alternate activity until the new shoes get in. Elliptical, bike, or swim will all help you to maintain your endurance. You're not going to lose that much conditioning in 1 - 1.5 weeks so long as you keep moving in some fashion.0

Thanks everyone for your responses! I'm going to do some serious cross training until my new shoes come in!0
