Has anyone ever tried a cereal diet?

The cereal diet is when you have cereal for breakfast and lunch with fruit or low cal snacks. Apparently you can lose up to 5lbs in two weeks. You then can have any sort of dinner but its advised for high protein and low carb dinner.

If you've done one, what's you advice and how successful were you?

It's just another way of limiting calories. Not really necessary if you're logging your food.

It ranks up there with the tape worm diet I think!

Sounds epic! Though I'd rather not sign up for that one.

Mmm... I love cereal. But keep the milk separate. I hate soggy cereal! Ick.

Mmmmm I love cereal. Kashi Go Lean Crunch was my breakfast every day for awhile, but then I got tired of it. If you do this, use high fiber cereals to keep you full!

Did it once. The Kellog lose 5 pounds in a week one and it didn't work (not even a pound that I can remember) and I was bored and it sucked!

Cereal is high in carbs and low in proteins. You'll end up hungry again quickly, and you'll need to work hard at supper to get enough proteins in.

It'd probably work, but it's not really optimal.

The Special K diet is a gimmick to get you to buy Sepcial K products.

ORIGINAL Special K has a decent amount of protein ....... the rest of the flavors DO NOT. None of the Special K flavors have good fiber counts ..... you can definitely do better with some Kashi cereals. I tried this with Original Special K (years ago) and was hungry all the time.

Yum, I let mine sit for a while so it gets soft.

You'd be better off with oatmeal.
