I love what I've been able to achieve in so little time with the use of this site! Not to my goal weight yet, but I'm no where near giving up on this change for myself!

    Thanks!

I workout 5 days a week - 3 days elyptical (minimum of an hour) / 2 days - 30 min elyptical & 30 min strength training. I try to get a walk around the neighborhood in at the end of the day. I also live 2 miles from where I work so when I can I ride my bike to work.

Other than that I eat everything that I always have --- just smaller portions!

Thanks everyone! I'd love to hear what others are doing and how you have been successful too!
  • Congrats! great success story! I just started and MFP is really helping so far! I am now conscious about everything i eat. Everyday (I'm on day 4!) it has been just a little easier to say no to food that tempts me. (for example: breads, cakes, cookies, and things of that nature). And I haven't had a soda in 4 days!! I'm not planning on cutting all the good stuff out forever, just while i get a good start to eating better and smaller portions of things. Working out is hard for me as well, i have to force myself up to do a 30 min workout, hope that gets easier with time.

It'll get easier for sure -- to put it in perspective I am a chocolatier (can you believe it that someone pays me to play with chocolate, all day - everyday!) and I love what I do. Part of my job is trying each batch to ensure quality, you learn however if this is a life change for you that you simply say no to the temptations or control your intake. I still try each batch but usually spit it out once I'm sure that its correct - somedays I don't though - otherwise I'd be in a sugar coma passed out in the kitchen cuz I've eaten too much!

If I am able to work where I work 6 days a week constantly around everything that I love - chocolate, popcorn, ice cream and any candy you can think of --- and lose the weight ~ anyone can!

Keep up the hard work and you'll reach your goal!

Kgustin... awesome and inspiring progress! I hope to follow your lead. I work in the F&B industry as well (hotel exec chef) so I know how tough it can be to have to do those quality checks! (not to mention being surrounded with awesome food all day)
