spinning

I spin regularly but there is a disparity between the calories burned as recorded on the spinning bike and the calories suggested by MFP, for example for a 1hr spin the bike will record approx 500cal but the MFP database suggests 950-1000cals for 1 hour of spinning. I have been recording the lower (bike) figure in my MFP diary but is this correct? Does MFP take into account my bodyweight in its calculation? Do other folk have this issue?

MFP tells me 600 cals for 1 hour spinning. I guess it may adjust for bodyweight.

Thanks for the advice, 500-600cal is about the same as the bike computer tells me so I guess I'm going to stick with recording that in my diary. Really enjoy my spinning class.
