Ancient Wisdom Confirmed by Modern Science
Executive Summary
Short Version: Primal has been proven right.
Longer Version: Endorsed by the world-wide scientific community including top doctors at the Harvard Medical School, John Hopkins, and UCLA, and approved as curriculum for registered dieticians (RDs) by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the single largest meta-analysis of health and fitness ever conducted shows that conventional “eat less, exercise more” approaches are far less effective than going Primal, harm our health, and lead to fat gain 95.4 percent of the time.

Interesting guest post at Mark's Daily Apple by Jonathan Bailor. A little more science would have been nice but I'm firmly in the camp that thinks what we're eating is disrupting our bodies natural ability to regulate our weight like it regulates every thing else in our bodies.

I'm not going to get into the doubtless ensuing debate but Jonathan Bailor's book, The Smarter Science Of Slim is worth a read if anyone wants to investigate further.
It's particular good on explaining how we can naturally lower the body's fat 'set point' through nutrition and exercise.
Makes more sense to work with the body than fight it ...0 -
Thanks for the book recommendation--I never heard of this guy but I'll look into it.

Mark's book is really good. I have been "trying" to follow it more. I'm gonna make a clean cut over soon and see if that picks up my loss more. Really good read and his points are very logical.0
