Getting ready for a wedding

Okay, so the past 10 months have been really rough. I have had 3 back surgeries, and have not been able to workout but doing physical therapy, plus I'm not motivated enough to eat right. I think about it all the time but when it comes to actually doing it i have a lot of motivational issues with eating the right foods, i either over eat or under-eat, and am not consistant. I need some help getting motivated and keeping on track. I need to lose 30 to 40 lbs. hopefully by Jan 2014, when I plan on getting married. My fiance loves me the way I am but there is no way that i'm gonna feel good on my day the way I look now...

Hey there,
I am sorry to hear about your back surgeries. I hope you are getting better! I know how tough it is to get motivated to eat right and exercise. In the last 2.5 years i have lost about 25 lbs just by eating healthy ( and smaller portions) and exercising. My fiance is into eating right and exercising, so he got me lnto it! I love it but I also love food!!! haha anyways, I gained about 10lbs back in the last year. I am getting married in Oct so I am really trying to lose the extra pounds!0 -
I wanna feel comfortable in front of my husband on my Wedding night also! Feel free to add me, so we can motivate and keep each other accountable. I know its tough! I struggle everyday!

Jan 2014 is plenty of time to lose weight. You just got to motivate yourself. No one can do it for you. It helps if you have supportive people at home. Maybe get your fiancee to do it too?
My fiancee makes it easy for me because he wakes up at 6am to kickbox every other day and is intense. So I try to be like that too. Try to get other people in your life to do it with you. But ultimately, it's up to you and you making yourself do it. Good luck!0 -
Hey I am getting married in December 2013, feel free to add me!0

I look back at my wedding pictures, and wonder how that wasn't my breaking point! The pictures would be so much cuter if I had been 20+ pounds lighter!
The other day I was thinking that when I turned 30- I joined a gym. When I turned 31- I started going to the gym! It took me a year to truly get motivated- and I was literally paying for it!0 -
Well, according to theknot I only have 117 days until our wedding. EEEKKK! That's nothing. I've got to get motivated! I have found that logging food here has helped. As far as getting off my butt? It's not so easy. it's hot and I'm fat. That doesn't lend to a pleasant situation.
You can do this! We can do this together! Let's lean on each other and list what keeps us going. For me? It's knowing that the dress selection's all up to me, and I am my own worst critic. Aside from that, I want to FEEL good on our wedding night!
WE can do this! Add me; I suck as my own cheerleader, but I will do my best to help encourage you all!0 -
Hi there! I'm getting married in April 2013 and would really love to lose 40 lbs. Problem is.. it has taken me this long to really get motivated. I figure I have about seven months to allow time for dress alterations. I may not reach my goal but dang it at least I can get close if I work hard at it! I need all the motivation I can get!0
