Hello! I just joined MFP a couple weeks ago, and thought I would start making friends on here to keep me motivated! I currently weigh 147 (started at 149...yikes!) and 5'5 1/2'' and I'm 22! My goal weight is about 125lbs. but I'll even settle for 130lbs.
I started gaining weight aroung the fall of last year. My weight would fluctuate, 135 then 140, 138 to 142...and then I reached my biggest 149. I couldn't believe I gained 25lbs.! I always said to myself 'Oh, I'll start eating healthy tomorrow' and of course, I didn't.
Now, I'm really trying to be serious to getting back in shape. I have lost 2lbs. which is a small accomplishment but an accomplishment nonetheless!
I figured it would be even more beneficial if I had people on MFP to motivate and inspire me since I can get off track pretty easily. Anyone in their 20's who are in a similar situation as mine should definetly add me! As for everyone else, add me, too!

Hi! I'm 22, 5'2'', and 132.8 pounds (somewhat stuck in a rut at the moment). It's great to meet you My weight has fluctuated for roughly the past 7-8 years. My highest weight ever was 156, and that was 6 years ago or so. I lost 30 pounds then, kept it off for over a year, then it slowly came back. I crept back up to 150.8, and decided March of this year it was time to take it off. I've lost 18 pounds since March 28. I completely changed my lifestyle (hopefully permanently) - I eat right and get some sort of physical activity at least 6 days a week, whether it's in the gym or doing more fun things like volleyball. Feel free to add me! We can keep each other motivated!0

I'm almost 22 5'5" and 218 pounds. I have always been one of the chubbier girls, but in high school I cheered on my high team and an Allstar team, while doing gymnastics as well. Being that active I could maintain my weight while still eating the awful things I wanted. I was only slightly unhappy with my weight.
Once I got to college I really started skipping. I would go to the gym, but I didn't adjust my eating habits, and I started a new birth control (which may or may not be an excuse for the weight gain). In college the meals are a social thing and it's eay to get carried away.
I was heading on vacation as a graduation gift and realized I had gained about 60 pounds. That's when I decided enough was enough. Now I have a job and my mother is on board it's easier to eat healthy meals now. I hope to lose that 60 pounds , and maybe a little more in the long run. For right now I'm just focusing on getting myself into healthier habits.
Edit: I have more to lose than you, but I will support anyone who needs it. Feel free to send my a Friend request.0 -

By the way everyone I am also new to this I have never joined something like this so i figured it wouldnt hurt to try. I am 25 years old 5'7 and weighing in at 260 pounds. This is so scary for me because I am at my heaviest. All of my weight seems to be in my middle area. My fathers side of the family is overweight and has a list of problems including heart disease and type 2 diabetes. My father is actually losing alot of weight I am very proud of him but he lives in another state so I never get to see him. I am going to lose this weight mainly for my health. I would really enjoy it if someone can help me navigate my way through this and keep me motivated. Good luck also to everyone0
