Stretch marks FROM losing weight

I am noticing more and more stretch marks on my body as I continue to lose weight. They're new and red and kind of hurt. I googled and some people said they're called, "stress marks" but I just don't understand... I feel like my body is just destroying itself when I'm trying to make it better... and I haven't even lost that much weight/I'm not that big....
I feel like a huge brat, but it's kind of devastating to be trying my very best and going slow to make lasting habits and such only to end up with ugly purple marks.
What do I do?

Try using really good lotions. Coco butter is really good and so it vitamin E . It will just help keep your skin in good shape and fade out the marks. I've never heard of them showing up while you are shrinking down in size. Don't give up though.0
