Is there a tool that I can use to figure out how many calories I burn while I am fighting fire?? I know it has be a large amount of calories because the gear itself weights about 50lbs and extremely hot. Just wanting to know if someone can help me out with a tool to help figure it out?? Thanks for the help!!!

Really, I'd just set myself as "active" (if your dept is like my husband's, you're training every day if you're not actually fighting fires), and eat a little more daily. You will need more calories than someone who is lightly active, but trying to calculate the actual per fire burn! :-)0

my first answer is that if you are a fire fighter as part of your every day activity, then you shouldn't be logging it.
second answer is that you could get a heart rate monitor but thats just one more thing to try to get on with your gear and it may not hold up well under extreme heat.0 -

Use a Heart Rate monitor for best and most accurate answer for your body on any given day in any conditions under any stress or workout0
