anyone gone through a massive body change with tattoos?

I was talking with my moms friend tonight and he said he can tell I'm losing weight, and then let me know that once I get down to the weight I wanna be at let him know and he knows a guy who can lazer off my tattoos (4 of 7 of them) so I can get them redone because when I'm slimmer my tattoos will be distorted.

This is something I wasnt thinking about, I still want to lose weight, I'm terrified of gaining weight, or staying where I am, until it got said to me and now I'm looking at my tats going "dont deform"

My goal i to be down to 140 pounds in December 2013
I am currently 272.5
I was between 270-290 when I got my tattoos. I have 1 on my neck, 2 on my shoulder, one on my hip, lower back, and one on each thigh.

Has anyone else gone lost a bunch of weight with ink in "high fat" areas were they terribly distorted after weight loss? is their a way to avoid this and still lose?

I'm still planning on losing weight I am just having a mild crisis trying to figure out how bad my skin is going to look if all of my tattoos end up mangled and distorted because I got healthy.

The only experience I have with it so far was with the tattoo I have on my hip. With my pregnancies it stretched quite a bit (luckily I didn't get any stretch marks in it). But after each pregnancy, it went back to normal size and was still easy to see. Now, I was a bit on the chuncky side when I first got it, so I don't know about how it will look when I succeed in my weight goals and it gets smaller. Interested in seeing what others say.

I'm really interested as well because while it wont stop me from working to lose weight, as much as some of these hurt I really want them to stay pretty, I'm most concerned about my lower back one as it is 7 different colors and very detailed. I will be devastated if my favorite and most painful tattoo is ruined, I still have a scar on my wrist from biting it when I got that tattoo :)

My tattoos stayed the same but that may be placement. Upper back, calf muscle and one behind my ear (nothing would change there lol) I think you will be surprised how little they will change.

That's good to hear! The one I was worried about most was the one on my upper back. I have some on my ankles but don't see them being too affected. Thanks for sharing! :)

I have ten tattoos all of which are on my upper back or the top of my arms. Except one which is at the base of my back) forgot about that one))
None of them have changed at all, but as someone already said, it's placement.
I suspect that if I'd had one on my rear end, it would have shrunk :O)
