The biggest NSV of my adult life

When I was 15-16 I was in track in school. I definitely enjoyed running and did it in my spare time.
Fast forward to adult life and I just didn't do it. Mainly because I would try it for a few days and not hit my old numbers and quit.

I've been doing a modified C25K for awhile now, and today was my first solid run. I just kept going regardless of how tired or how much mentally I wanted to quit. I just kept pushing.

I ran 3.2 miles at a 9:20/mile pace without stopping. When I did stop at the end I literally cheered out loud (something I've never done before)

I'm so damn proud of myself. At a time where a lack of a result that I thought was satisfactory was derailing me, this came just in time and has made me the happiest guy on Earth today.

WOOHOO!!

Nice!!! Hope that keeps your motivation going forward. I just started c25k again today. Looking to beat my old time. I have never been a runner before, so this is all new to me. I did feel super proud the last time I completed it thought so I can imagine your excitement too.

    Happy running

Non-Scale Victory -- something that's related to fitness/weight loss, but not tied to the number on the scale. Anything from clothes fitting better to, well, being able to run three miles without stopping.
