The biggest NSV of my adult life

When I was 15-16 I was in track in school. I definitely enjoyed running and did it in my spare time.
Fast forward to adult life and I just didn't do it. Mainly because I would try it for a few days and not hit my old numbers and quit.
I've been doing a modified C25K for awhile now, and today was my first solid run. I just kept going regardless of how tired or how much mentally I wanted to quit. I just kept pushing.
I ran 3.2 miles at a 9:20/mile pace without stopping. When I did stop at the end I literally cheered out loud (something I've never done before)
I'm so damn proud of myself. At a time where a lack of a result that I thought was satisfactory was derailing me, this came just in time and has made me the happiest guy on Earth today.
WOOHOO!!

That's Greta! What does nsv mean though?0

Awesome!! Congratulations. This makes me want to try that program.

Non-Scale Victory -- something that's related to fitness/weight loss, but not tied to the number on the scale. Anything from clothes fitting better to, well, being able to run three miles without stopping. That's Greta! What does nsv mean though?0 -
That is awesome and so amazed at your pace. My longest distance with C25K at the end was on 2.81 miles (4.5K). So proud!0

That is so fantastic. I have been doing c25k (my third attempt) and I was never a runner before in my life so I totally understand this amazement. You should feel fantastic!0
