Didn't get my exercise in today and went nuts with 3000 calories. Why do I feel the need to start burning some, like NOW??? 2am late nighter.
Anyone even awake at this time?

it doesn't matter when you exercise... I work nights... so a LOT of my exercise happens LATE0

ive been doing a jog-in-place in my room! haha, it only takes like 14-20min (if u go hardcore.) to burn 100cal, so it might make you feel better!0

Either do it or don't.0

Do it...for all the times I ate 3000 calories, do it for me.0

I usually have to wait til 11-12:00 at night to get to the gym. Fat doesn't know what time it is. If you feel the need to exercise, by all means do it. Remember to get enough sleep though, because not enough will effect your weght loss. Good luck.0

I'm a night owl, and for the longest time I had a membership to a 24-hour gym...and yes, I occasionally went when sane people were sleeping.0

I have been running in figure 8's around my living room and computer room...I'm planning on doing an insanity workout in a few too. It's only 11:00 here though.0

I am at work right now. Graveyard shift 11pm-7am. I am fortunate that my workplace it's rarely busy on the weekends. It's a deskjob so I take advantage of all exercise I can get. I go outside for a 30 min walk break usually around 2am most weekend nights.0

i work nights and find its the best time to work out. A nice quiet walk or run out of the sun or i do 40 minuets if stress release yoga before bed almost every night0

Good for you! Looking good! :happy:0

DO NOT DO THIS.
This is disordered behavior. Yes, you went a little overboard today. Does that mean you need to burn off all 3000 calories in the middle of the night? NO. Do you need to burn off any calories in the middle of the night? NO.
Get up tomorrow morning and start fresh. Moderate exercise or whatever you've been doing before. Don't restrict calories, don't over-exercise. I'm so sick of people on MFP pushing exercise bulimia on others. That's /inhumane/.
ETA: There's nothing wrong with exercising at night -- whether you're up for work or just naturally a 'night-owl'. However, there is a difference and problem when you start exercising for the sake of burning off a day of overeating.0 -
I exercise at midnight regularly. I am also a night owl. I feel better at night.0

I can see both point of views. 1 - I agree with not exercising simply because you overate (although, I can't see any negatives from that, I am more against someone who goes berserk on food without being conscious or caring about it - i.e. ME 3 months ago). And if it gets to a sickening point, surely there would be a problem.
What skinny said is very valid, I missed my workout for the day and was ready for bed (logging calories on MFP before sleep) when I had a traumatic visual explanation of just HOW badly I ate, on top of missing my regularly scheduled workout.
My goal posting really was to get motivation because I was ready for bed, and this forum did it for me. Your post funky, also taught me something - to not make it a disease where I go crazy about it.
So all and all, I appreciate all the posts and LOVE to see that other people workout late as well. I am just not an early person!0 -
You're body doesn't klnow what time it is. It only knows how long it's been since it slept, ate, and worked out.
I worked out at midnight and there were tons of people at my gym there.
I work evening shifts so my schedule is very much skewed late. I'm hyped up at midnight.
You're not weird!0 -
It's the middle of the day in my part of the world - a perfect time to exercise!!0

I'm a night owl, I prefer it haha.0

Your body does rock! lol and I have not seeing people working out as late as the people posting here, so I am thrilled to discover this mew species in real life!0
