New Plan

I'm going to lose this extra weight the healthy way and this is how I plan to do it. It may not be as fast as I'd like, but my health and peace of mind is worth it!

My measured-by-doctor BMR is 1350 calories. I'm pretty active, with 2hrs of gymnastics and 8 hrs of cheerleading practice every week, bringing my calculated TDEE to around 2100 cals/day. This is without any additional exercise, just my cheer/gymnastics.
I plan to net 1600 cals/day bringing me to a 1lb loss per week. I plan to work out (not cheer/gymnastics) 5 days a week with my HRM so I can eat back my exercise calories. I will eat very clean foods, close to nothing man made, and focus on alkaline foods and limiting acidic food.
Does this sound right? It should work, right?

    What's wrong with acidic foods?
  • not acidic as in flavor, but in how your body processes them. We function optimally in an alkaline pH balance, so it's harder to lose weight when your body is in an acidic state.

Sounds pretty good to me? But I'm not a doctor.

What's your height, CW, and goal weight?
  • I'm 5'6" 145ish lbs and would like to get back to the 120-125lb range that I was once so comfortable in!!

Ah, so you're relatively close to your goal, anyway. That's good then. The slow route is *definitely* the way to go!

Good luck on not eating processed/ "man made" foods though. They're often SO tempting! XD

I know you want to be healthy and everything (we all do), but you also should be realistic about what you're going to face food-wise on a daily basis.
  • Yeah, it'll be hard, but I'm not saying NO man-made foods! Just limiting them. And there are obviously some "man-made" foods that are fine! I'm prepared to work hard for this though, because it's one of the things I want most!
