Focusing on being called "fat" while ignoring positivity?

Options
A group of us went to the casino/club area and had a blast. I wore a tight bodycon dress( one of the pics on my profile blk/nude). Now, I like my figure but I'm no where near skinny.
We were sitting outside by the hotel garden after the club closed, and waiting for the guys to go get the car. 3 of us girls sitting on a stone bench, some rude "boys" were screaming and hollering from the other side of the curb. So I screamed "Shut the hell up!" One guy proceeded to say, "shut up you fat *****. You're gonna break the bench." Of course, I shouted back that he had a micro-penis. ha.
It's amazing that even through my progress in losing weight, I still focus on some idiot whose opinion should not matter one bit. Yet it still bothered me, because the other 2 girls with me were pretty skinny blondes, who just gasped when he said that to me. It made me wonder if they thought I was fat...
I mean I'm "chubby" still but being 130lbs, and sz 7 is fat??? Why are there so many "boys" who are so "fat" phobic as if that's the worst thing a girl could be??? I know my hubby finds me plenty attractive, and I received plenty of "positive" comments from women and men that night, BUT it's always the negative put-downs that still sticks in my mind. It hurts when you think you're making progress, only to be brought down.
Have any of you ever dealt w/ a situation like this while in the midst of your weight loss process? I understand there are plenty of people who will make snarky comments even when I reach my goal, so that's why I'd love it if some of you could help me with a strategy to not let it tear me up?

Sweet Jesus, i literally don't have words. You are so far from fat it's insane. So many *kitten* in the world, maybe they were so drunk they were seeing double 'cause there's literally nothing fat about you. I absolutely despise these people that do this...always a certain type of male, never very attractive, the sort who wouldn't say a word if they didn't have their gang of *kitten* clowns around them, y'know?
Please, please don't let those comments in 'cause it's literally not close to the truth. Not even within a whisper of the truth. Your body is stunning, you're so pretty and these jerks knew you were out of their league, that's all that is, lol. Don't let this hurt you, it's such bull****.

I had an experience like this. I went to a market night and was at a fruit stand when one worker told the other to skip me and help another guy. His exact words (in Spanish) were, "Just let the fat girl wait." This was after I had been losing weight for a while (I think I was down 20 or 30 pounds at this time).
I let this situation completely derail me and I went off my weight loss journey for another year. It so wasn't worth it and I can only imagine where I'd be now if I hadn't let the guy get to me and gained all my weight (and more) back, but this time I won't let it happen again.

The rudest comments I hear are from **** head little teenagers. Seriously, youre going to speak that way to a 30 year old?! What the hell are parents teaching their kids. If I ever heard my son speak to anyone, especially a grown adult, the way some of these teenagers have spoken to me I might beat him absolutely senseless. When I was on vacation in hawaii, I wasnt even in a bathing suit, just in normal clothes, walking down the street, I had a 16 year old tell me "Didnt you know whale season is over!"... and RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND!!!

They weren't gasping because they secretly agree. They were gasping because the boy was so astoundingly rude and useless. Why would you think their reaction was in support of the idiot boy?

When you're insecure, it's hard to think otherwise.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and support! It really means a lot. :)
I talked to my hubby ( I have this secret fear that if I told him someone called me fat, he would start believing it, I'm ridiculous) and he always offers a perspective that I, otherwise, would have never seen. Onward and upwards.
