If so, can you please recommend some apartments? It looks like I'll be working in the NE area of the city. I'd like to keep my rent 'reasonable', I know that's vague! But truth of the matter is, I'd like to be cheap, but am willing to pay more for somewhere I can feel safe and isn't a complete and utter dump, and considerate neighbors would also be nice! I trust this community so thought I'd ask you guys. Apartmentratings.com is a nightmare and to read that site, every apartment complex is horrible!

    I don't live there but Albuquerque is def the coolest U.S. city name ever.

    OOPS, sorry. My OP had a typo...Looks like I"ll be working in the NW-ish area of town. (I live in the NE area of where I live now...my brain doesn't work on Mondays I think!)
