These national eat "what ever" days are just as bad as national kiss your girlfriend day, or hug day or blah blah blah... I didn't participate in those when they came up in school... not planning on starting now. I am not sure how these got started maybe it is just people looking for a reason to celebrate, or an excuse to eat something or just in fun and they don't expect people to ACTUALLY follow through. I suppose all in good fun in the end! I hear about them once in a while on the social media sites but rarely any where else so I wonder how many people actually participate AND they are usually about the same things... ie lots of repeats!

PS... I would be willing to try brussels with bacon and garlic... don't like brussels on their own but everything is better with garlic let alone BACON. nom

Don't think they do these days in the UK... if they do I know nobody who follows them! x

The folks in UK haven't mastered the evil art of Marketing like US have

I think they have - I'm pretty certain there's definitely at least a National Cupcake Day here in Blighty.

I've not heard of 'National Cupcake Day' either.

I only ever hear of health awareness raising day like "World Mental Health Day" or "National Non Smoking Day" or "Cycle to Work Day".

I have genuinely never been aware of national junkfood days, if they exist here they must be badly marketed.... :noway:
