These National junk food days

These national eat "what ever" days are just as bad as national kiss your girlfriend day, or hug day or blah blah blah... I didn't participate in those when they came up in school... not planning on starting now. I am not sure how these got started maybe it is just people looking for a reason to celebrate, or an excuse to eat something or just in fun and they don't expect people to ACTUALLY follow through. I suppose all in good fun in the end! I hear about them once in a while on the social media sites but rarely any where else so I wonder how many people actually participate AND they are usually about the same things... ie lots of repeats!
PS... I would be willing to try brussels with bacon and garlic... don't like brussels on their own but everything is better with garlic let alone BACON. nom0 -
Don't think they do these days in the UK... if they do I know nobody who follows them! x
The folks in UK haven't mastered the evil art of Marketing like US have
I think they have - I'm pretty certain there's definitely at least a National Cupcake Day here in Blighty.
I've not heard of 'National Cupcake Day' either.
I only ever hear of health awareness raising day like "World Mental Health Day" or "National Non Smoking Day" or "Cycle to Work Day".
I have genuinely never been aware of national junkfood days, if they exist here they must be badly marketed.... :noway:0
