A father and his son are in a car accident. The father dies at the scene and the son is rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, the surgeon looks at the boy and says, "I cannot operate oh the boy, his is my son"... How can this be?

    The surgeon is the mother.

Edit, after seeing the above answers I realize I'm not only incorrect, but subconciously a little sexist apparently, lol. Touche...

  • You are trapped in a room that has no doors or windows, it has 1 mirror, and a table. How do you get out?

I looked in the mirror and saw the table.
You put the two halves of the table back together and make it whole
    you climb through the hole.
  • A man who lives on the tenth floor takes the elevator down to the first floor every morning and goes to work. In the evening, when he comes back; on a rainy day, or if there are other people in the elevator, he goes to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the seventh floor and walks up three flights of stairs to his apartment.
    Can you explain why?

The man who invented it doesn't want it,
The man who rented it doesn't need it,
and the man who needs it doesn't know it.

    What is it?

A room is completely empty except for a dead guy hanging from the (high) ceiling and a puddle. What happened?

He stood on a block of ice

How can you throw a ball as hard as you can and have it come back to you, even if it doesn't bounce off anything? There is nothing attached to it, and no one else catches or throws it back to you.

A train leaves Kansas City at 7AM headed east at 77 MPH.
At 8AM, a second train leaves St. Louis headed west at 88 MPH.
Which train is closest to Kansas City when the two trains meet?

She is correct, while "neither, they are the same distance" would be a the trick answer, if the trains met the engines would be face to face, so the train from kansas city is closer to kansas city by the length of the train itself.

They're the same distance away when they meet.
  • Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives the bellboy $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to split among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. The bellboy has another $2, adding up to $29.
    Where is the remaining dollar?

Exactly, thank you. The back of the train from Kansas City is going to be closer to Kansas City than the front of the train from St. Louis.

They didn't pay $9 each. The remaining dollar was also split among the three of them despite not being refunded to them.
