I know I know there's like a trillion threads rolling around for 30DS, but I just wanted to start one for TIPS... ツ

Im only on level 1 but I have 1 or 2 tips to make things a little easier...

Push ups _ I hate them and love them, it started as hate and I still do girlie ones but that's ok soon ill be doing them all badazz and all ツ Here's my little tip, when im doing my push up I actually watch my arms when im pushing up, its like im willing my body to do it and they seem so much easier and honestly I love seeing the strength...

Another tip for almost all the other workouts... Watch yourself in a mirror, I do and I gotta tell you once I see my posture is the way JILLIAN is saying I notice that the workout is as hard as I thought, only hard part is keep my posture correct..

Feel free to add me I love having friends doing the same workout as me, and please add Tips you have learned...ツ

Thanks for posting this! I haven't started 30DS yet but I've heard so many good things that I'd like to try it. :)

My tip is to tune her out. After day four or five, I was getting sick of hearing her jabber on about the same crap (I know it's a DVD, but I'm trying to stick with it, so I need to not hate it). So now I do a couple different things. I put on music and concentrate on it, sometimes I sing along in my head (cause I'm concentrating too much on staying alive to sing out loud). Another thing I do is count stuff. It makes me feel like Monk or something, but I count pushups, jumping jacks, crunches, even knee and hip circles. I can't mute her entirely because I need the voice prompts to know when to stop (cause I also avoid looking at the screen, especially during abs and pushups).

Also, I keep a toss pillow nearby - I have cruddy knees and I still have to do the easy kind of pushups for the second set, so I put my knees on the cushion.

My other tip is start the darn DVD before you've put on your shoes and set up your mat, so you have something to do for the several minutes it takes to get to the workout itself.
