Annoying Cat!?

Am i the only one whose cat is really annoying whenever I try to workout?
No matter where she is in the house, she can somehow sense when i'm working out, and comes and gets in the way. She won't stop rubbing against me, which is really unpleasant since i'm usually all sweaty, and her fur sticks to my sweat. And then i always have to stop my work out, and push her away until she takes the hint (which takes like 20 times). It's so obnoxious! and it's not like i'm the only one home, i live with 4 other people that she could go annoy, but for some reason she always likes to bug whoever is working out in the house, doesn't matter who. It's so weird, do all cats do this?

Didn't think I'd be able to use this so soon..0 -
Put her in a different room?0

Nope. It's not just your cat. It's what they do. Mine likes to sit on my tummy when I do crunches. Shocked I haven't sprained an ankle doing jumping jacks.0

I know right? Cats are all about themselves! Horrid little beasts really, lol. It's better than a dog pile! I have 2 50 lb plus bulldogs and two chihuahua mixes, and everybody thinks it's fun to pile up on mommy when she's trying to exercise! I would trade cat hair anyday for toenails in the gut...0
-
LOL mine does the same things...try holding a yoga pose with a mouth full of cat hairs! haha0

:blushing: Awwwwww she/he loves you, even though it could get annoying.
(As I'm typing this, my durn cat won't get her damn head off my keyboard....) :laugh:0 -

I think its just some cats because I have 3 and two of them dont even know Im here until they are hungry lol but my baby who really acts like a baby does that to me!! I think he knows the music to my workout video or something as soon as I put it in he comes in and is dying for moms attention lol!!0
-
Awe! That is so cute.
They la-la-love you!0 -
My cat would find me and look at me with utter contempt in his eyes. I think he disapproved of exercise generally unless it resulted in a kill.
Thankfully I moved out, he didn't, and whilst I miss him terribly, I do find I get judged less.
(he also will fight you for your water whilst neglecting the bowlful you specifically got for him. And will sit on the windowsill at 3am retching all over you. And refuses to use the cat flap. Seriously, why do I still love this cat? He's just a scornful ball of furry contempt!!!)0 -
Put her in a different room?
Yeah, that'd work if I had doors in my house haha but sadly i don't0 -

Hahaha! Amazing.0 -
My cat always takes a poop in her litter box (in my room, no place else to put it) 2 minutes before I workout. She sees my sports bra and goes "Hahahaha I need to take a ****"
My dog always jumps on my chest and wiggles and wants to snuggle whenever I get on my yoga mat.
So I know exactly how you feel.0 -
i don't have a cat, but my dog is the same way, he can be asleep in another room, but if i start tryna do anything, no matter how quietly, he shows up!0

Squirt bottle. Anytime she gets near you when you work out, hose her down. Works wonders. Eventually, she'll start to slink by you, and you whip out the squirt bottle and she'll run.
It works. Trust me. I have 3 cats. None of them come near me when I'm working out.0 -

Yeah, that might work. Right now I use a pillow. She has this weird fear of pillows, so even if I just grab one she runs away, but problem is she just always comes back again, maybe the squirt bottle would work better.0 -
Get a big dog to take care of your cat problem.0

It's a squirrel, a flying squirrel now    :laugh:0 -
My cat just sits and looks out the window while I am on the treadmill. When I am doing WII Fit he just sits and watchs for a little while then goes and lays down in a different room.0

I have the chance to have nice animals: When I am on the treadmill, my 2 cats and my dogs just sits or lay around me and observe...
Geez... I get stalked when I exercise!!!!0 -
I have a dance studio in my home, and I close the door when I rehearse. Noodle (my manx) is waiting at the door without fail every time I'm done rehearsing and open the door. He loves "stretchy time". He comes in and stretches with me, rubs himself all over me, and gets all tangled up in my (very long) hair when I'm lying on my back. It makes stretching take a little longer, but it's worth it
ps: this is his royal noodle-y-ness

Our girls run for their lives when they hear the squirt bottle come out!! All we have to do is shake it! LOL
One of them likes to use the litter box when I start to workout (like another person mentioned on here)--I mean seriously. I JUST CLEANED IT TOO!!! AHHHHHH!!! lol
They only come in once in a while as I'm working out. They get scared and run away most of the time LOL WHAT'S A MATTER KITTIES? YOU CAN'T BRING IT?! hahahahaha!!! :laugh:0 -
Omg - I'm so glad I'm not alone. Someone else was posting about this earlier today as well.
Please let me know if you've found any good solutions to this problem. I keep landing on my cat, and it doesn't end well.0 -
This happened to my wife the other day.
Now she won't have sex with me anymore.0
