I'm Back ON! w/ INSANITY

Hey Everyone,

So I've been off for about a year or so, gained what I lost back (about 8 lbs)... :(

BUT, I'm back on and starting the Insanity 60 Day Challenge, so we'll see what kind of results I get.

Anyone else do insanity and get results?

Hi yes. I did insanity. I will say I had over the top expectations...like...losing 50lbs in 2 days. lol. So I was disapoointed and I will chalk it up to my unrealistic ideas. I did not lose much but my body was conforming to something seriously sheek and sassy. I lost 8lbs over all...and really hoped for more but...it is what it is. i think you do WAAAYYY too much work for the results. Insanity is truely insane. However, besides me trying to get the figure of my life, I truely want to be FIT. So better endurance, strength, and capabities are all on the top of my list. Insanity deifnately helps with that. I have a hate-love relationship with cardio...insanity pushes your limits and you WILL see the difference in what you could do in the beginning compared to what you can do after you finish. I use the program now as a hybrid with p90x (WHICH I AM OBSESSED WITH. I SUPER DUPER LOVE THAT P90X) for extra cardio. If your goals are endurance and fat burn...you will get it but dont be like me and expect to go from a size 14 to a size 2 in 2 months. lol (foolish me) Hope you enjoy girly!

Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm excited. I actually love the intensity of the workouts. I'm excited to see how far I can push myself. The diet will be the hard part for me. We shall see...
  • I'm back on.... I lost 13lbs last summer for my daughters wedding and have put 20lbs on since then. I used MFP to track my progress & need to do it all over again. I have been discouraged gaining this much weight & turning 40 this year, gotta turn things around. Glad to be back :)

Woo-hoo! I just finished Week 5 of my first Insanity round. I will say, I can already notice an improvement from the first time I did the max workouts until the second time...but yeah, I'm sore. Month 2 is incredibly challenging.

Since starting Insanity, I haven't lost any weight yet but I've gotten compliment on looking smaller so I guess I'm getting leaner. Everyone says you will notice results in the final 15 days of the program. I figure I can try to eat better during the last three weeks (hence me joining MFP) and see what happens. Worst case scenario is that my cardiovascular health improves.

    Fitbunny,

Are you following the nutrition guide that comes with Insanity? I completed it earlier this year and the exercises are great but what really moves the fat is the nutrition you are putting into your body to fuel those workouts. I'd be glad to help you out or any others with the nutrition guides provided for Beachbody programs. Just send me a friend request/message.

I loveee Insanity! I started it before, but only finished the first month due to a wrist injury. I am now two weeks into my second round.
