Ode to Cauliflower

O’ sweet cauliflower
How I love you so
You’ve become my best friend
On this weight loss journey I’m on

You make it so easy
To keep me on track
Cause you fit so well
With both dinner and snack

Whether roasted or grilled
Pureed or fried
Add some garlic
And I’m smiling all day

Your are a quick grab
When snacking feels right
25 calories a cup
Keeps my tummy satisfied

Though I’ll be the first to admit
And I feel bad about it too
When I first met you
I really thought EWWW

I no longer think that
I no longer hate
How when I look at you
I think is that a white brain?

So thank you dear cauliflower
For being the best
A constant comfort
In my weight loss plan

And the final reason
That you are the best
Cause unlike your friend broccoli
You don’t give me gas

    Can't stand cauliflower. Broccoli I can tolerate to a point. Cauliflower, how can any one eat something that smells like my sons gym socks??
