Okay, confession time... Mac 'n' cheese is my weakness. It was the first solid food I tried as a baby, and it's been a favourite ever since. I've recently been desperate for a bowl of it recently, but I can't find any good recipes that won't take up more than half my calorie allowance!

Does anyone have any healthier mac 'n' cheese recipes? I know that it can't exactly BE healthy, given it's cheese-based, but any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks guys. :flowerforyou:

This isn't quite like gooey/cheesy macaroni and cheese from your childhood, but it is super tasty and hits the spot when you are craving it!!

Hmmm I would say if you really want it, maybe try doing a little bit of extra exercise to allow the extra calories. Find a recipe with as few ingredients as possible to keep it simple, and enjoy. Here is my favorite mac n cheese recipe--from a local restaurant in my area, really simple and nice and creamy:

I'm drooling rainbows here, thanks guys! And yes, I think working out extra for mac 'n' cheese for dinner is a worthy trade. :D

I make the real stuff for lunch. I had 56g rice noodles (gluten free) 1/2 cheese packet, 1 can tuna and some broccoli. Delish :) 450 calories but I have exercised and am doing more later to make up for it. I totally think it's worth it, and I think it's fairly healthy.
Note: I don't make this an every day thing.
