Garmin question

I use a Garmin 305 to measure my calories and it seems pretty accurate when I use it for running. I have been setting it to the 'other sport' setting when I do my weight workout and find my calorie burn really low. Today I did 40 minutes. I super set through the whole workout. I was literally dripping sweat on my feet and huffing and puffing. According to the HRM I burned 22 calories! This is consistent with other weight workouts and just doesn't seem right for the amount of effort I am putting out.
Anyone have thoughts or suggestions?
