Cardio and Strength training (weights). Cardio will help get rid of the unwanted fat and the weights will help tone it up0

tricep extension (for under your arm, aka bingo wings)
bicep curl (for top of arm)
from what I've experienced/read you want to do high weight and low reps of these exercises, and they will help you build muscle (which helps burn fat) and tone up your arms as well.
good luck!0 -

thank you! I was thinking aboutg etting some dumbells or something0 -
if you want to lose arm fat do not do weights to begin with. . you'll only make your arms look bigger (as per putting muscle on top of fat). . try doing dips (thats what i do) and i was told planks, extensions. . once your arms are lean you can then add weights to start toning.0

I've been working the weights and have lost quite a bit of arm fat. I can actually fit into normal size sleeves now!!
Good luck, it's a great feeling when you get there!
Just google it, there are lots of exercises out there to help.0 -
When losing fat, we can't decide where it comes from. (Unfortunately for me b/c I seem to be one of those "lucky" ones that loses the boobage first. Ugh.) All I think you can do is concentrate on toning the area that you desire to change, and keep eating your required calories.
Good Luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
I really like JM's No More Trouble Zones, too.
My arms have always been disproportionate to the rest of my body. They look like they belong on someone else.
I have a lot less jiggly bat wings and armpit fat spilling over after doing that DVD and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism.0 -
Have you looked at the Zumba rhythm sticks? They have them on the Zumba site but also for pretty cheap on ebay. They come in various weights and some of the girls in my class LOVE THEM.0

The only way to really target one spot is with weight training to build muscle, so you can't technically target fat loss in your arms sadly, but building muscle will help them get leaner. I've been doing 30 DS too and I've actually lost 1 inch from each upper arm already in just 9 days, so I'm sure you'll see results from that as well. Good luck! I'm hoping for smaller arms by the end of this journey too0

I've lost inches from my arms with strength training, you can't really spot reduce fat for the most part, but my arms as well as the rest of me has gotten much leaner using weights.
And no your arms will not bulk up if you are in a calorie deficit, someone mentioned that they will "look bigger" because the muscle is on top of fat...that's not true, they will look more defined but you will have less fat. Muscle doesn't just sit on top of fat.0 -

Muscle doesn't get put ontop of fat.
Work on heavy lifting. It will help tone the muscle under the fat. Eat at a deficit and do some cardio as well and it will slowly come off. Unfortunately we can't choose where to remove the fat from0 -

Not only that but...ummm...not to be mean or picky but.. Well, here's the thing - when you're doing dips and planks that you are actually "doing" weights (strength training) - it's just not a dumbell or barbell, it's your own body weight.0 -

Well said, most overweight, underweight and unfit people would not have the strength to do proper dips. Planks have nothing at all to do with arms, well you rest on them (rest lol).
Buy good quality cables cheaper, more convienient, more dynamic than weights - work the whole body. You cannot target areas to lose fat (as lots of people have said), your body will lose fat where it wants to lose from. You have the option of strengthening and toning the muscle.
Search for full body cable workouts, there are some great teachers out there with good workouts.0 -
Yup, I have flaps myself. They are getting smaller though, and I do a combo of cardio and weight lifting. I do weight sessions that cover the whole body, but there are two sets that focus on biceps and triceps specifically. Good luck!0
