Trying to eat more.

Hey, everyone! Okay, so recently, I've noticed that I eat too little. After keeping a food diary for the past few days, I realized that I rarely get over 700 calories a day...but that isn't from a lack of trying.
I eat 3 solid meals a day, and snack twice to three times. I just eat very light food, and small servings.
I'm a 117 pound, 5'2" girl, and I'm unsure of what to do next. Obviously, I should get my calorie count up, especially since I'm starting to exercise more often, but I feel full throughout the day!
I want to introduce heavier meals without getting too many fatty foods in my diet. Any suggestions?

Add in a shake, peanut butter, eggs, or just larger portion sizes in general.0

Add high calorie heathy options, then you don't have to eat as much to add on calories.
Usually heathy fats are the easiest, add some olive oil to your foods, avocado, nuts, like almonds, add a tablespoon of mixed seeds (sunflower and pumpkin for example) to your food, eat yoghurt and milk, add some chia seeds to some oats soaked in milk, try dry fruit, granola, trail mixes.Good old peanut butter.
You really should try to add more, as you know its not healthy to eat so low all the time, even if you feel full from what you are eating, its not enough calories, if you cant' add more, just swap things out.
Healthy fats are a good part of a healthy diet. Don't be afraid of them.0 -
I've been missing my goal by about 500, EVERY single day It's so hard getting up to it, like I feel like i'm eating a lot and it gets frustrating haha. So i've bought some avocados which i'm going to try and have every other day... not sure what else to suggest though, think i'll stalk this thread too (: I can't eat any nuts as i'm allergic, and no dairy either.0

I can relate to this and I would recommend slowly increasing the amount of food you eat and eat small snacks throughout the day.You get used to eating small amounts of food and feel full quicker, Try to eat really small snacks but have them regularly, you shouldn't feel as full or bloated and be able to eat more, after a while your body will get used to dealing with larger amounts of food and you should e able to eat a decent amount of calories a day without feeling to full. I would also eat light foods, I find snacking on fruit easy. Also try doing some light exercise as this should increase your appetite. Hope this helps0

extra virgin olive oil
butter
coconut oil/milk
salmon
full fat dairy
nuts
All very calorie dense, you only need a few tiny servings per day and you can easily add on 300-500good quality calories.0
