intermittent fasting

I have been reading up a lot on intermittent fasting. I usually don't eat my first meal until noon and have one last snack around 9. I guess in a sense I have been doing it without realizing it. Anyone have success with this? How do you do it? Thanks for any input?

I do the same, not intentionally but I don't eat lunch until 1 and have a smoothie after the gym at 8-8:30 and don't eat again until the next day. I have lost 3 of my 2 year old daughter and am going strong!0

I used to do that... and it never helped me.. I've started to get up early enough to eat breakfast and I do not eat past 7 and that has really helped me I lost 3lbs the first week of doing that.. Hope this helps you! :bigsmile:0

On week 4 and i love it - never did well with the 6+ small meal as i was always hungry. Now i eat 2 LARGE MEALS and get that "very full satiated" feeling I love so much and the weight is coming off nicely. Have lost about 10lbs since starting and on the weekends i have a cheat day that I just eat and drink what i want...0

How long do you fast..and what is your eat window?0 -
I fast for 16 hours and my eat window is 12-8pm
i work out (6:30am) in a fasted state that generally amounts to 30 min heavy weights and then1:30 on the bike (commute into work) get to work and suffer for a few hours (although im now getting used to it) green tea helps a bunch. And when that window opens I eat a very healthy 1500ish calorie meal. In fact as I type this at 3:15 i am still stuffed from lunch where usually i would be fidgeting with hunger pains...get home and have another large meal maybe 1000 calories before bed and for me going to bed with a full tummy is pure gold! wash rinse repeat0 -
Successful here. Started off with 24 hours once- twice a week after reading Eat stop Eat. Then to just one 24 hour fast and now I am doing leangains style which is now more my style and easier for me. I now fast about 16 hours a day. Sometimes I might go for 18 on break it earlier at 14, but typically it's 16.
I still do 24 hours but only once or twice a month. And usually by accident. If i am feeling really good, I might end up extending my 16 hr to a 24. I now let my body dictate when instead of the social cues and media around me that tell me when I should eat.0
