So I am doing decently with the dieting and exercise..however, a lot of times I tell myself "Eat only this much" However, I end up eating more sometimes! How do I resist the temptation to eat more food?

I find using a smaller plate such as salad plate size for dinner "tricks" my brain into thinking I have alot more than I do. And I make a large pot of coffee in the am and then decant it into a pitcher in the fridge, then I make a tall iced coffee with stevia and 1 TBs of hazelnut International delight creamer. It feels like a treat and isn't "packed " w/ cals.0

That seems like a good tip. I'll try it.0

The smaller plate idea is a good one. Also, make sure you are measuring out the amount you are supposed to have (portion-control control). Don't guess! Put the rest away where you are less tempted. A small example, if you are going to have some nuts, don't grab the can and hold on to it while you are eating them. Grab a handful of nuts and put the can away. That way there is more effort required in eating more and your brain will get used to the idea that what I have in my hand is all I need.
As I live with someone that believes you always have to finish whatever is on your plate, make sure the plate is in the proper proportions for you and your goals.0
