Happy Holidays everyone! Sooo its almost Christmas, and my family and I always have Christmas brunch at our house. I really want to make something new this year, so my question is, what do you guys make or bring to a Christmas brunch? Any ideas will be great, thanks guys! :)

Crustless quiche are always a winner
  • I am bringing a crustless crab quiche this year and last year I made an egg casserole w/ bacon, mushrooms, and green peppers. it was a hit! Try allrecipes.com for brunch ideas, they have some great ones... not very many are calorie friendly but you can always adjust!

we have an old standby "snack" - we get pickled asparagus, and slices of ham, and spread some cream cheese on the ham, roll up the asparagus in it. I usually cut them into smaller pieces, and put a toothpick through them too. my family loves them, and never notices that it's a lean meat (we do turkey too - lunchmeat stuff) and reduced fat cream cheese). the best ones are with the lunchmeat that's more rectangle shaped than round - makes it a little more even on the wrap. We get the pickled asparagus in a two-jar pack at Costco - it's pretty inexpensive, and as I said everyone loves them- they're always gone by the time we're getting packed up to go.

If it's Christmas Morning...biscuits and gravy, to hell with counting calories on Christmas.

The people we are visiting are taking care of the main dishes so I am bringing a healthy fresh veggies platter with some hummus's! Healthy snacking :)

I'm not doing any gatherings this year (haven't for at least 8 years), but IF I WAS, I'd be bringing a NON-DIET Banana Nut Bread.
