Question About Elliptical

I usually do 50 minutes on the elliptical (followed by 15-20 on a rowing machine) every morning. I have been doing an interval program at a pretty high incline and resistance. This morning, to change things up, I did a different program ('fat burn"). Both the incline and the resistance were much lower but I went much faster. It felt easier though. I ended up burning 25% MORE calories than I usually do, in the same amount of time. I am almost at goal weight-wise, but really want to tone my lower half (thighs and butt). Which program is better for that? Thanks in advance for any advice.

if you want to "tone" areas of your body, you're not going to get that from a cardio machine. try weight training. squats, lunges, deadlifts are all good choices.0
