I'm currently a "general merchandise clerk", aka I work in the electronics and photo departments at a retail store. I'm going to school to be a radiation therapist and have two and half years left until I get my degree.

Do you want the pessimistic version, or the optimistic version?

Pessimistic = I kick people out of their houses.

Optimistic = I oversee repairs to make foreclosures into homes that owners can move into instead of leaving them in crummy shape so that investors buy them and potentially leave them in crummy condition and rent them out.

I get a lot of sad stories some days. I get to see a lot of happy stories other days. It's a very emotional job.

I work at a supermarket as a cashier. That is what 6 years of college and 2 bachelors degrees got me in this economy.

I'm a Case Specialist in the workers comp division of a healthcare company. It sounds fancier than it is. All I do is look at faxes on a computer screen and figure out if there is a request for something that needs to be pre-authorized and then figure out if I need to file it or send it somewhere else.
