From Pity Party to Pretty frickin amazing in 24 hours!

Well, glad to say I am done with my pity party over a pretty painful pissed me off plenty particularly poor showing of a ZERO loss yesterday. This after a week of eating clean and healthy, lowered my sodium intake and had some good workout burns and was expecting good numbers.

I had to go to Key West yesterday and after Glenda gave me the crappy news I was inches away of saying **** it, but was a good boy, no drinks, no cheeseburgers in paradise.

Been thinking about trying to do a Mini Tri that’s like 3 mins from my place on the beach here in the Keys. http://maratri.com/MaraTri/Marathon_Triathlon_Team/Marathon_Triathlon_Team.html

It’s September 1st, kind of a comical idea if ya think about it, thirty something days ago I couldn't even walk a mile let alone drive one without hitting a drive thru and I am looking into doing a Mini Triathlon?????
But I said **** it, instead of Wallowing in Self Pity over that frickin ***** Glenda (my scale) giving me unacceptable news yesterday and ordering a pizza and eating like crap, I ate well and today did something kind of amazing. I did the Mini Tri on my own in 1:21 ….. 7 Miles on the bike, walked 1.5 miles and swam 500 meters. I can’t run the 1.5 miles yet, but 30 days ago if you told me I would do any of these 3 on their own, let alone one after another I wouldn’t have believed ya. So, yea this journey sucks at times, but so does diabetes, strokes, heart attacks, etc, etc. However, days like today are pretty frickin amazing. Thanks to my friends on MFP for the words of encouragement yesterday, you’re a vital part of my success.
