I have been keeping track of my calories for the past month or so. Not always on MFP like I should, but I keep a journal at home. I have good days and bad days. Lately I have been having trouble staying within my calorie goal especially at night. I find my self doing good all day, then once 5-6pm hits, I want to eat everything in the kitchen. I think my impulsive eating is do to boredom. My husband works overnights, and usually sleeps from around 3pm until he has to go to work. I try to keep myself busy by doing housework, or playing games with my son, but I am still having trouble. Any Ideas on how I can stop the over eating at night?
I would really appreciate any help!!!

I recommend you reflect on why this occurs and plan a solution around it. How spaced out are your meals? When do you allow yourself your biggest meal? Without knowing these things or seeing your journal, I am apt to recommend that you work with your body rather than against it. Budget enough calories for a satisfying but healthy snack at the time you crave food. Or, perhaps you need to eat smaller breakfasts/lunches/snacks and budget a little more to dinner. Good luck, and feel free to friend me if you think I can support you on your journey.0

I can't see your diary, but maybe you aren't eating enough throughout the day? If you are really hungry at the end of the day, sometimes its harder to keep control. As I can't see your diary, I don't know if this is the problem, but if it is try eating a filling breakfast with lots of protein and keep healthy snacks around for before and after lunch!
I find that if I let myself go too long without eating and get too hungry that all of my self-control goes out the window and I eat everything in site0

drink lots of water, and snack more frequently on lighter fare, lke fresh veggies, fruit, nuts/ trail mix. I have a problem with snacking at night too.0

            HI there
 I was exactly the same.
The way that I have dealt with this is doing exercise in the afternoon's early nights - this way I can have only a small snack before I go (I can't do exercise on a full stomach) and then after gym I have a protein powder shake (which is quite filling on it's own) and I usually choose a healthy meal as I have just thought about how many calories I've burnt off and how good of a day I've had. So I opt for healthier dinner choices.0
