Too much protein?

I just started using my fitnesspal this week and I am noticing that I am going over the protein guideline. Is this OK or should I find ways to scale back? I tend to eat Kashi Go Lean as a snack which is a good protein, but protein nonetheless. Thank you for your help!

If it's the MFP default recommended protein numbers, you can go over it safely unless you have existing kidney problems or are prone to them (as long as your stay around your daily total calorie goals). MFP default is carbohydrate heavy. You can change the default goals under My home > Goals.0

I am always over my protein, but tend to be under my fat and carbs. I feel that I eat pretty healthy, so I don't feel a need to change it.0

Thank you both for your counsel on this!0

It's recommended that you eat between .75g-1g of protein per pound of lean body weight. I think the MFP recommendation is way too low.0
