Friends sharing diaries

Hello all
I understand that some people wish to use MFP on their own to track their progress and fully respect that.
However, those who wish to be friends with others surely are doing so to seek support from like minded individuals. If they hide their diaries then I'm suggesting that they aren't 100% committed and question whether they should be accepted as friends.
Harsh? Perhaps, but aren't we investing our time and energy to help other like-minded people so why invest in someone who's not as committed as we are
Am I taking this all too seriously - And isnt it worth taking serious ?

Oh this again! Wonderful! Look. If you don't want friends with closed diaries, then don't have them. We don't need to agree on a site-wide policy about it.0

like facebook or any other online community friend who you want and unfriend or never friend who you dont want. They dont "play " how you want- then get rid of them. But whatever you do- never ever take most online friendships seriously- most ppl disappear, quit or are full of crap to begin with.
You have a rule to only be friends with ppl that show their diary- rather than speculating why perfect strangers dont want theirs showing- dont become their virtual friend. Simple. Find ppl that feel the same way you do.0 -
Oh ferchissake. Take your Commitment Judgement elsewhere.0

exactly... its why FB is a hell hole - everyone feel differently about how to use it- and that causes too many riffs. That can happen any where on the web where ppl join together or post etc. Participate or dont. Friend ppl or dont. Dont worry about what other ppl are doing tho- worry about yourself.0 -
Oh dear, I've rocked the boat :laugh:0

That you have ha ha! I didn't know how to share my diary but when I figured it out I shared, I can never eat back all my calories, I never used to eat much at all due to money problems and it's hard getting the 1200 let alone eating what I worked off, MFP gets mad at me a lot0
