Today I took my work badge out of my wallet for the first time in months. I saw my picture from March 2011 and thought "my god, my face was HUGE"

I hadn't realized the extent of the changes I've been making since joining MFP and over the past year and a half or so until that moment. Sometimes I have to remind myself that losing 12 pounds since starting MFP doesn't look like a whole lot on paper, but for my short self, it's pretty major. From now on, I'll take a look at that picture when I need a reminder.

When you're short, every single pound shows! I totally get where you're coming from.

Sometimes it's those small things that keep us going!
  • I totally know the feeling and I love it!!! I printed out my starting pics as motivation and even though the scale doesn't say I've lost that much, the difference between my old pictures and what I see in the mirror is still noticeable to me because losing fat and gaining muscle isn't something a scale can ever tell you!

    Keep it up!

Thanks everyone! I don't have a lot of good pictures of me and I didn't make a decision to buckle down on this til I had already lost some weight and started eating healthier so true "before" pictures are hard to come by. I will definitely hold onto this one on those days where I'm eating my vegetable sticks and wondering if this is worth it (answer: totally is)
