Hi there. So I'm new to MFP. My Dad actually was the one who recommended me into trying this site out so I decided to try it out. I'm 24 years old and looking for a support network, and I'm just as eager to offer support back. I'm still learning a lot and am open to learning much more in order to achieve my fitness goals. However! I'm looking into doing this as natural as possible. I don't believe in diet pills, I don't want to buy a bunch of different shakes and what not, and I am not exactly made of money. :)

I tend to be very experimental in cooking. So I'm even willing to exchange recipies and learn new ones!

I'm about 5'3" tall, weighing 245. I'm looking to lose about 100lbs. Main goal is just I want to be healthier and feel better about myself and be able to run. I used to play soccer in high school and I loved the feeling of jogging and running and even then wished I was able to just do it for more than quick bursts.

Anyways, I'm mailny looking just for supporters with similar goals as me. Feel free to friend me!

Good Luck! Do you know how to lose alot of lbs? You must lose them 1 at the time. It is a journey. Kudos for the effort.

Just take baby steps and when you reach your first goal then set another small goal and do that one, for instance I set 5 lb. goals everytime I lost the first five lbs. then I set another 5 lb. goal and stuck to it now after 7 months I am almost to my goal weight and have to do a maintance program so I don't gain it back. Be realistic and also set a time goal to so you can stay on track, but it is what ever works for you, I have lost and gained weight many times and this time I am determined not to gain it back (I am learning from my past weight loss mistakes), and this site helps to stay motivated and be accountable to yourself. I know you can do it just never give in or up on yourself. And eat healthy meals and snacks and that helps too. Best Wishes I know you can do it.

Thanks all for the support. I plan to take it one step at a time. I've heard the faster you lose the quicker it comes back! So I rather lose it right even if it takes a year to hit my goal. I just don't want to get side tracked.
  • Hey I'm new as well. After going to the doctor on Tuesday and finding out that I weight 215 I have got to start changing things fast. I am also not into taking pills to control my weight or any other aspect of my life. I know this can work, you just have to be determined and steadfast. You can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
