Thyme, pepper, and a little butter (all to taste) pour melted mixture over fish filets and bake in oven.
Lemon juice for a spritz on your fish tastes really nice too. Check out swai white fish, has the texture of catfish but not the taste. Also not as strong as some fish, this is great to coat with a Cajan spiced breading and baked.

I mostly eat salmon, but this should help with the fish you are eating. I put some lime and lemon juice (no calories) and Italian seasonings--I have a mix but it contains rosemary, thyme, basil, and garlic--and then broil the fish in the oven. Takes less than 30 minutes and tastes great!

For tilapia, place filets in a baking dish, brush both sides with a mixture of water, olive oil and saffron, sprinkle on lemon pepper, a touch of Lawry's seasoned salt, Mrs. Dash and Italian bread crumbs. Then top with fresh grated parmesan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Delicious!

    fish tacos
season the fish with cayanne pepper, paprika, garlic, salt and pepper. a little EVVO in a pan, sear the fish until cooked.

    sauce
roast 2 poblano peppers, 2 red peppers, seed them cut them in slices. put them in a food processor with a handful of cilantro, some garlic, start the food processor, add a little bit of EVVO. once done, stir in some light mayo until it is smooth and creamy (about 2 tablespoons)
(the sauce is much better if it sits in the fridge overnight)
add the fish to a la tortilla whole wheat tortilla
total comes to about 300 calories give or take depending on how much mayo you use
you could also skip the tortilla and plate the fish, drizzle the sauce on top of the fish. that will save you about 100 calories.
  • I like fish I just don't like fishy fish. I always Cajun mine, if you don't like it to spicy you can cut it with flour. I try not to eat flour so I use a chick pea flour just to cut down the spice. I work at a restaurant and this is how we do ours. Cover you fish in the cajun/flour mixture and then sear each side in a small amount of olive oil in a frying pan. Transfer it to an oven safe dish ( I use pie plates) you can add a little olive oil or butter. Its absolutely delish!! I usually use Tilapia or Catfish. If you can buy your fish fresh somewhere it makes a huge difference. I get mine from work (which is from a local fishery), way better then anything at the grocery store. It cost a little more but tastes way better.
