Food Track Calories?

I thought that the idea was to meet and/or stay a little under the numbers given by the food tracker. Today I ate 1070 cal. and it says that I may go into starvation mood? Sounded kinda creepy. But it also says that I should be eating 1200 min. (after warning me of starvation). Now I def have enough weight here I'm not starving anytime soon. But I don't have enough muscle here to lose it to starvation.

P.s

I have been noticing headaches since I started dieting. A lot more than normal.

Any ideas??

Treat the number that MFP recommends as a target, not as a maximum. 1200 is a very low calorie goal for just about everyone (even if you are very short) so you really don't need to eat any less. And the way MFP works, when you exercise, you get to eat more and still lose weight - it may sound odd but it really works!

Headaches might be related to not eating enough, not drinking enough water or from changing your diet and habits. Try increasing your cals to at least 1200 (more when you exercise) and drink plenty of water, see if that helps.

I was reading through other forums and I am feeling even more confused. I really don't excercise much, if at all. My schedule honestly leaves no time for it. Beyond the stairs at home, and chasing my toddler thats it. I thought that meant I needed to lower my calorie intake...

I know from experience that if you don't exercise i would suggest you stick to the min. amount of calories. Also do not eat more than 2 starchy foods.
