CONSTANT SWEET CRAVINGS!

Am I the only one who constantly craves sweets no matter what time of day/ night it is?I am always in the mood for some ice cream, cookies, OR EVEN BOTH! Sugar is my absolute weakness (and being the family baker doesn't help much)! Is there any way to curve these constant cravings?

I factor in something sweet to my diary every single day, whether it be a little dark chocolate, a biscuit or a bigger dessert. Personally for me it's about moderating my sugar rather than stopping altogether!0

Nope, when i first started making changes to my diet, i craved badly every day. sometimes i gave in and that made following cravings even worse. I completely cut out sweets/chocolate/ice cream for about a month and the cravings have gone away, pretty much completely. Even when i have a fleeting thought of having some chocolate, when i think in depth i decide i don't really want it, its just old habit.
Although i should mention, i don't have any of those things in the house, because i know i would eat the whole lot in one go. Not because i want it, just because its there.0 -
It's awesome that you are the family baker. That's a great thing. Having said that, the only way I could kick my sweet cravings was to get it all out of the house and quit eating sweets. I've been doing this 4 1/2 months and 2 times I have tried to bring something (like Weight Watchers ice cream) into the house. I binge all over again. So...for now - it's not coming in. Good luck. This is a tough thing!0

Thanks for the tips ladies! I try to eat fruit or drink tea when I am have those crazy cravings. But sometimes a woman needs her chocolate fix!0

I am the same way. I really have a hard time with sugar, chocolate especially. I started Paleo / Primal and the cravings have gone down a TON. I was brought up to have dessert after dinner every night. I started needing it after every meal. Something in the paleo kicked it down a lot. I still have it and when I do I try to use honey or cocnut sugar in something to have as a treat. I think getting away from the white sugar, even if you replace it with natural sugar, it will help break that addiction. And a little bit of dark chocolate is good for you. so have a treat once in a while.0

I liken it to an addiction, and I have found that keeping it out of the house is my best bet. And fight through the first few weeks of cravings and it does subside. The longer you go without it the less you crave it.0

i can't do moderation, since i am completely addicted to carbs. once i started doing low carb/keto (like primal/paleo) i have zero cravings.
cold turkey is the best way.0 -
This same thing happens to me! There are 60 cal no sugar added chocolate puddings/jello that arnt too bad as well as some 10 cal no sugar added jello, these are my go-to's when I get a sugar craving0
