So I just finished the first day of the 30 Day Shred. I don't feel sore, but I'm so shakey. I think it'd fatigue ahaha.
Will I be sore tomorrow?
Does it get easier?
And if you have pics of before and after shred results, that'd be awesome. Because today nearly killed me and I need motivation

It does get easier! I am halfway through level 3 and there is a huge improvement in fitness from when I started. Don't feel that you have to move on after 10 days if you are not ready, personally I have moved onto the next level when the level I was doing became easy. Well, maybe not easy but I could get through it all without stopping!
Unfortunately didn't take any pics but i've lost inches and definitely feel its worth doing.
Good luck0 -
I started yesterday and I am moderately sore today. I was shaky yesterday, especially walking down stairs! I was also tired from travelling a lot over the previous 2 days (driving 500 miles from Scotland to England one day, and travelling from England to France by ferry the next day).
I think it will help us to get through the 30 day shred by thinking about how much pain the olympians have been through in their training!
Good luck!

Thanks guys
I only stopped once through-out the whole workout, but some of the exercises I did half assed. Because I was dyinggggg0 -
I'm planning to start today too, but I'm also running 3 times per week and was planning to run later on today, plus I usually like to do a 5 mile walk with the dogs. Am I being a bit over confident with thinking I'm going to do all this today?0

I started day 1 yesterday too and I am sore this morning! Actually cried when I finished the workout yesterday...what a wuss! After 2 kids (my youngest is 8 months) and no exercise for about 3 years I found it tough but I'm excited to give it a go and see if I can achieve anywhere near the results I've seen on here.
Good luck! We can do it!!!0 -
Ok just done it, I've got a feeling I won't know until tomorrow how hard it was, especially with running on top of it later. Wish me luck getting down the stairs in the morning ladies0

Haha, goodluck. I tried to make myself a cup of coffee right after, and my hands were so wobbly I dropped the mug >.<0

Omg i love 30DS!! Level 2 is my fav because for me it burned the most cals and i really felt it afterwards! Good luck, it's so worth it!!0

I started/stopped it a couple of times due to one thing or another (wedding!). First 3 days of doing it I was unbelievably sore but it did get much easier. I am planning on restarting on 1st August and going right through! Apparently tape measures are the way to go with this!0

I'm gonna do my first day of Level 3 today. Started the 30DS on July first, but since I don't do it the days I also hit the gym, I am stretching it out to 40 days. No pics, but so far I have lost weight and inches.0

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, whats this work out? I'm currently swimming a lot, im not a huge fan of the gym you see. So could maybe do with doing a little bit more of an upbeat work out!0

One of the workout DVD's from Jillian Michaels, a famous trainer that among other things was a trainer on the Biggest Looser TV show. She has quite a few different DVds, but the 30 Day Shred seems to be where most people start. You can find it online for about 10 bucks, or less if you are lucky. Worth the money, only 25 minutes a day, and no gym required0 -
Can anyone adv what these workouts consist of, or mostly how long each day are they? I have been working out mostly on my breaks at work (because I always have the little ones running around when I am home during the day (I work overnights)). So I have a 15min break and a 30 minute break at work. We do have a workout room with a dvd player. I would like to try these but don't want to buy them if they are long like the p90x workouts. Thanks!!
ETA: looks like someone answered that at the same time I asked! Thanks icicilie!0 -
It's Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred exercise DVD. You can see it on youtube to try before you buy. It's 3 x 20min workouts. You do workout 1 for the first 10 days, then workout 2 for the next 10 days etc. It combines strength and cardio and is quite intensive but mercifully short at only 20 mins a day!
I followed up today's workout with 10mins on the elliptical, so it's already getting easier. Still aching though!

Thanks Im gunna have to try that!! Will have a look for it now!0

I followed 30DS with Ripped in 30 and had great progress. I blogged that as well. Here's the general address to my blog:

Oh and here's my side view from 30DS... The four pictures are from day 1, end of level 1, end of level 2 and last day of the shred. There are front and back comparison photos in my blog.
ETA: I did the levels 8/11/11 (days per level) and I only did 30DS M-F, doing some other cardio on Saturdays and resting on Sundays.0 -

Hi there! I have pics in my blog, take a look! It is SOOOOO worth it. It does get easier! Promise  I did each level for 10 days. The first day I ever did it, I was laying on the floor for 10 minutes afterwards thanking god it was over. Then I went to walk downstairs and felt like I had spaghetti noodles for legs
It is a great program, stick with it! I am currently doing her Ripped in 30 and I have been dabbling in the Extreme Shed & Shred as well. She gets results, that is for sure!!
Good luck! If you have any questions I am happy to help! Celina0 -
Hi, although it says they are 20 minute workouts, that just refers to the main workout, if you include warm up and cool down, the stage 1 video is almost 28 minutes, so it would take up your 30 minute break.0

I have pictures in my profile of my results.0
