 I sound like some sort of scientist trying to hire a grave-robber:noway: Well, afterall, I am trying to put together a new one, I don't want the old me before I gained the weight, was too skinny, I want a complete overhaul,
I am 59, 5'2", and 131.7 right now. I am small boned and in my teens stayed right around 100-103 lbs. Just to give you some idea. I have struggled with my numbers, used lots of different calculators, use a heart monitor that now someone has givin it a bad review after I spent 80 bucks on it(Polar) They say it is not accurate, another story. I know I don't need to be listening to all the "stuff" but I do and numbers, I wish I wasn't such a number freak:grumble:
Ok, if there are a few gals I could compare notes with that have been a success or are succeeding(and that had lets say about 30 lbs to lose)and come close to my stats, would you write to me? I just want to set my dang numbers and be patient. I am not patient and I am understanding more and more why people don't eat enough. They are like me and don't want to wait to be thin again or for the first time maybe. My heart's desire is to do this the way I feel/believe is right and that is slow(which slow has never been my speed at anything:ohwell:
I now have my net set at 1300. I did use the Miffin joer on their own site and got 1754 then took off 20% for a deficit. Got confused by wanting to show a record of my exercise, anyway, blablabla. Now I am just using MFP's settings and can go up on the net if I am not losing and continue to eat all or most of my exercise calories.
I am probably not making much sense but I am hoping some of you might sort of come to my rescue. I don't care if you need to give me a good lecture, I can take it, and I am open-minded about learning.
Denise, and thanks in advance for any and all feedback

Denise, I am 5"2' and shrinking. At my heaviest I was 138. I was on the road a lot and ate out 3 times a day. It was a nightmare. I looked like a marshmallow with tooth pick arms and legs. I had been such a skinny little thing for so long, it was shock to start gaining. That was five years ago. I started losing a bit at a time and wasn't very focused about it. In Junuary, I weighed 120 and joined MFP. I lost 5 more lbs. and in March decided to get serous. I hate to exercise but too bad for me. I am eating clean and drinking water all day long. Glad to know we have something in common. Want to hear more about the kayak.

I'm 44, 5'2" 135 now, when I started I was 148, never weighed even close to this until the last 2 yrs.. probably becuase I've always been very active and now I sit behind a desk. I am having touble losing and I think alot of it is the age thing. My 3 sisters are little and my mom only weighs 105. So I am supposed to b little and am working hard to try and lose it and weigh about 125.0
