Back at it again
Hi! In my mid 60s with a recent medical scare hitting me in the head to get back on track. Not new to loosing weight. Used MFP back in 2015 mostly to track exercise. Over the last 5 years used two other programs, lost 95lbs only to quickly gain 85lbs back. Last Sun, went to the ER for dizziness, expecting just to be…

The Kindness of Strangers
My health conditions sometimes prevent me from working out. My plan last week was to go Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I got sick on Wednesday afternoon, which cut my Wednesday workout, was off work Thursday & Friday, cutting Friday's work out. I had to call off work Monday so no gym. Then I finally made it back to the gym on…

Kidney Health
I have watched foods that affect my kidneys, which contain high levels of salt, potassium, and protein. I thought this would be a good way to stay on top of those numbers.

Hitting a plateau? Let’s talk about what actually works
I see a lot of people hitting sticking points, you’re training hard, eating well, but the scale or mirror isn’t moving. I’m curious how do you deal with plateaus in your fitness journey? • Do you increase volume, change exercises, or tweak nutrition? • Have you tried anything that actually broke through a plateau? Let’s…

How do I make exercise a habit?
I have used this app to track my food and weight for a while but have not taken part in discussions or challenges. I have bad knees and a lot of weight to lose. I cannot motivate myself to exercise as a habit. When I do exercise, I always feel better, but I have some sort of mental block when it comes to making it a…

Lumbar Stenosis
I have recently been diagnosed with lumbar stenosis. This back problem is reducing the quality of my life - lots of pain and reduced mobility. Surgery is one option, but my advanced age and weight issues are two high risk factors. Even if the surgery (and three months of recuperation!!!!) is successful, my high weight will…

How did you win the day?
I was thinking this morning - What if someone said to me 'I have the ability to make it so when you wake tomorrow, you are exactly where you want to be goal wise, all you need to do is live today, just today, achieving each of the things you know will get you there' - no brainer right! So then the lightbulb 💡this is…

Hi, and Welcome! I'm in a few other challenges, but I'd like to start a new one, beginning Wednesday, May 28th, 31 weeks until New Year's Eve. Iron from red meat
Why doesn’t the app tell me how much iron I get from red meat? Eg I entered 150g beef eye fillet and it came up as nil iron, which is clearly not correct. It’s happened to me before with other meats eg bacon.

Which single fitness habit do you think will matter the most 10 years from now — and why?
We all know fitness isn’t just about today — it’s about building habits that last a lifetime. Is it strength training to stay mobile? Daily walking for heart health? Or maybe prioritizing sleep and recovery? Your answer could inspire someone else in the community to rethink their own routine.

The Art of Claiming Your Moment
Life moves fast, so fast that it’s easy to miss the moments that truly matter. It’s not always the big milestones like promotions, awards, or faraway trips that shape our lives. Sometimes, it’s the quiet, intentional acts of claiming your time, your joy, and your own story. Think about standing at the edge of an…
