Better eating habits

Hi all! My name is Hayley and i’m here trying to gain some weight. I struggle with eating enough everyday and a lot of the time if i’m stressed or anxious i don’t get the sense of hunger/ no longer have hunger pangs and don’t eat. I’m gluten free but not celiac. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Hayley, kudos for making the effort to make some weight/health changes. I'm also on a weight gain journey, so I have a few tips that may be helpful.

Try to have smaller meals spaced throughout the day. Even something small like peanuts, nut butters, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, avocado (guacamole is so good), or veggies with hummus would work.

You can also go the liquid calorie route and have chocolate milk (if dairy isn't an issue), olive oil, fruit smoothies or protein shakes. I you're looking for any good protein powder, Owyn makes some tasty ones that are based on plant protein, and they mix very well with liquids.

Finally, you may already be doing this, but implementing regular weight training is important. It will not only allow you to build muscle (the right weight to gain), but it will also burn more calories at rest than fat will.

I hope any of that was helpful.
