Did weight matter?
I have four more pounds to lose until I reach my goal weight of 138 pounds (I'm 5'7). Will eating more at this point really help me weigh less?

I've just started back on this!
I was probably a fairly quiet member of this group about 12 months ago (maybe a bit longer!) and took a long break from MFP and from exercise too. I've been back on MFP a month, pleased with the way I've recommitted to logging my food and started exercising again and I looked into this again, as although I didn't lose…

Water Weight Loss?
HI All, So I have averaged the same weight and body fat % for 4 weeks after completing 8 weeks reset. I have cut 150 calories per day for the last week and have lost 1.8 pounds in that time and spreadsheet has a loss of LBM of .6 and Fat at .2 so in essence I have lost some LBM and Fat but I`m thinking it is mostly water…

Body fat
I have measured my body fat properly and I'm unfortunately 30% body fat .... I'm 5'1" and 143lbs I have looked at so many charts to see where I am in the whole grand scheme of things ... However so much conflicting info .... Some say I'm average but higher end of average ... Some say I'm above average to obese .... Well I…

Bit of advise if possible please
I have been quietly following EM2WL and while I've not really lose I've not gained neither and have been quite happy. I was on track of thinking of doing a reset when I started at a boot camp to help with my strength training and overall to improve my fitness (all I do is run) Anyway one of the things they do is a…

Confused
Hey all - I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I finished up a reset probably 4-5 weeks ago or so, and since then I've been trying to eat at a deficit except that I hate tracking anymore so I've probably only been 50% with it. I gained weight during my reset after having lost 30# last year with the good old…

Who has had Long Term/Big Success with TDEE-20%??
I’m giving this some serious thought. The concept makes sense to me, but for me personally with still at least 90lbs to go…. that would mean that I should be eating 2100 calories everyday. I just can’t even imagine that would work! So I’m looking for people who have done TDEE/-% and lost a Big amount with it. Make me a…

I'm back after a baby!
Hi all! I was eating more and started lifting before I got pregnant. I was almost finished with my first full reset when I got pregnant. YEA! Now that I have stopped nursing (unfortunately) and 4 months PP, I am ready to start my weight loss!! I gained 40 lbs and lost 20 within 6 weeks of giving birth, but have gained…

Body media band for TDEE
I have recently started wearing the Body media Link band and it is giving me a higher TDEE then the scooby calculator. Has anyone on here noticed that too? Also did you use the body media band for your reset?

Success without strength training?
I've been doing EM2WL since the end of January. I started my EM2WL journey at 170.5 and I am now 163.9. I've lost 3.5 inches from my waist, 2 inches from my hips, and 2 from my abdomen. I feel like this is good success when I look at it on paper, but I also feel like I've plateaued. It's been two or so months since I've…

Anyone gain weight while eating under/at their BMR?
Hi All! I'm new and just joined the group in the hopes of turning around this ridiculous weight gain of the past 6 months. About 2 years ago, I was 127lbs (my lowest weight ever, but reached through severe severe restriction/undereating). I maintained it effortlessly even throughout a month long trip to Italy. Once I…

Squishy fat - how long until it goes away?
I've been working on losing the weight from my last pregnancy since the beginning of the year. I haven't lost many pounds, but have been getting super strong and seeing lots of positive shape changes along the way. Back in May, I went to Las Vegas and the combination of buffets, dehydration and plenty of alcohol made me…

Anybody have success.......
Upping your calories, so you can continue to lose.....BUT, not focusing on having to "eat clean", like some people advise. I don't mind fruits, veggies and low fat proteins.....but I do like to have my snack foods (in moderation) that may be considered "too carby". (i.e. low fat cheezits, Special K cereal, cheesey popcorn,…

Weight plateau... with working out and watching cals
I know this seems to be a common problem. But I can't seem to loose weight. I'm lifting about every other day. Doing some amount of cardio most days as well. I feel like I'm pretty good at keeping track of cal intake and eating in a deficit. I also try to keep my protein intake high so I can build muscle. My diet journal…

Stuff my face in order to break my plateau
Hi y'all, So I've been losing my weight with the TDEE-20% principle. That went very well! Then I hit a plateau (for almost 3 months) which is very normal. In order to get my hormone levels back to normal and eventually break my plateau, I'm currently eating at TDEE. I must admit I really really REALLY love to eat at TDEE,…

I want to eat more GOOD foods--need ideas/help
Okay, I think that eating more is FINALLY working (slowly) for me. It has taken 10 months to get things back on track! So here is my issue--When eating at a low calorie goal, I naturally made healthy choices most of the time, since that is the only way to keep calories low. Now I'm eating more, and probably will go up even…

Stuck! Any tips?
Hi! I've been at this weight loss thing 66 days now, so I'm still getting the hang of things! I discovered em2wl about 3 weeks in. I never did a reset because I really didn't do low calorie much at all. The lowest I tried was 1600 and, at 5'8" and 240, I felt like crap and went back to around 1800. I soon discovered this…

5 weeks in and no results?
I have been following EMTWL for the past 5 weeks. My TDEE is 1999, eating a 20% cut at 1599. I weigh 134 pounds, 5 4". However, for the past one month I haven't really been able to see any significant results. I know I'm not to expect rapid results, and I'm more concerned about losing inches and losing body fat(28%…

Looking for people who eat 1800-2000 cals/day
Howdy! I joined this group relatively recently, but from the beginning (Jan 2013) have been eating (as my doctor and nutritionist recommended) 1800-2000 calories per day. It's been working great for me -- I've lost 42 lbs (so far) that way. (Exercise is of course also involved.) I have a few MFP pals whom I have acquired…

New and wobbling
Hi guys. I've spent the last couple of days slowly reading through a few of the topics on here and some of the links and decided to give this a go but after only a couple of days I am finding I am really wobbling with the concept and just wanted a bit of reassurance that I *am* doing the right thing and a bit of guidance…

Taking a week off of lifting question
I have been lifting heavy for 6-8 weeks now and I was thinking of taking a week off. Do you do any exercise or just walking on your week off? do you eat at your TDEE or under? Did you lose weight the week you took off from water and glycogen not being held in the muscles?
