Little help? Trouble eating so much
So for the last four months, I've been eating 1200-1500cal/day and have at this point seemingly adapted to that amount. I rarely feel hungry, though I have felt constrained, deprived, tired, sick, and like I'm not actually getting stronger (thus my keen interest in EM2WL!). This being the case, I'm having a heck of a hard…

Which is better to consistent calories or cycling
If I eat my current weight TDEE minus 15% deficit I am at 1600. Working out a few times a week will make my net calories differ. I know you do not eat exercise cals back for this approach. It is all figured in. If I eat my TDEE for my goal weight I will be eating 1400. Because that is my bmr I will eat any exercise cals…

I couldn't see any changes, but it seems I was wrong
So yesterday I was feeling like I was in a funk. I felt bloated and fat and just generally discouraged. My weight is the same as it has been since October and I've seen minimal changes with the tape measure. I wished I had taken some full body photos to compare along the way. Here's my griping from yesterday:…

questioning my goal
When I first started in August of last year my goal was to get down to 160lbs which is a normal BMI. I was 265lbs so that was 105lbs total loss goal. I have no idea what my BF% was at that time. I had it tested a few weeks later and it was 44%. I have since lost 60lbs and have a BF% of 30%. Now I wonder if my goal should…

Hopefully somebody will have the time and patience to comment and help me out. Stats: I'm 5' 5" 145lbs 26percent body fat and 23 years old. Depending on what exercise level I am [I don't have…

I'd love some friends doing reset please
Hi All I began my MFP journey last August eating 1200 cals and being very hungry and grumpy. After about a month I increased to 1300 just to give myself some slack. I lost 13lbs between August and Christmas. After Christmas I plateaued and came across EM2WL - I upped my cals to 1500 (TDEE - 20%) and dropped another 2lb.…

Insanity and heavy lifting
Ok both together sounds insane but I wanted opinions. I wanted to start insanity in about 3 weeks. Right now I lift and do a bit of cardio. I was thinking of doing insanity and lifting heavy doing bi and tricep curls, lateral lifts and shoulder press. Insanity would be about 6 hours a week and I would lift 3 days a week.…

Shall I start reset? need some opinions...
Hi all, I need a few opinions on whether you think it's ok for my to start a cut My story thus far... I have started to increase calories a few months ago, building from around 1300-1400 to my tdee of 2150. When I started increasing calories I was also calorie-cycling, so some days I was eating at full tdee and some at…

For Real or Not? Looking for opinions/suggestions
Hi all! Just looking for some support and suggestions: I started heavy lifting February 14th and since then have gained a very solid 4-6 lbs. My measurements have NOT gone down and in fact, I just feel fatter in general. Pictures also don't look good. My strength gains have been pretty good though! Some of the progress is…

Hill walking - exercise times for Scooby
Hi, I am training for a 60km walk, and am doing a lot of walking rather than lifting. What i can't work out is if i should increase my activity level in Scooby, as I had heard i should only count half of my walking hours as exercise. This seems pretty silly as I'm walking in hilly areas for all my walks and getting pretty…

Well, something is working!
I am doing Jillian's body revolution. I was not losing anything for weeks. I had lost some inches but no weight. Started eating at my TDEE - 15% for the past couple weeks. Lost 2 lbs!!! And I am feeling like I get enough food, we can eat out if we want to and I don't worry about ordering something ridiculous to stay at…

I could use some opinions
Hey everyone! I could use some opinions. I've been at my "goal weight" of 158 lbs (or at least a healthy BMI) since last summer. I originally lost 36 lbs eating about 2100 calories/day on average though I did the MFP net method - so about 1600 net (and burned an average of 500 calories daily as a runner who was in race…

I was referred to ISSA. I'm questioning it right now. I havent been on here in so long I lost our creators names on my list. I am completing my exam right now. So my TDEE -20% is at 2177 on my MFP I put my goal to be 1550 calories but I eat some exercise calories back. I've been consuming about 1800 but netting about 1200. My BMR is about 1550. I'm not sure I'm doing this right help!

Advice on spreadsheet needed.
I've been putting all my measurements into the spreadsheet but I'm unsure about one of the entries. When you measure round your body at the navel should you hold your stomach in to take this measurement or should you just "let it all hang out"? There are a few inches difference between those 2 options for me and not sure…

How long to see results?
I was just wondering how long it took some of you to see results? I am in no rush and just started this week, but was curious how long it took some people to see results, I know everyone is different. I am actually doing the fat2fit method which tells me to eat 2161 calories a day. I was regularly eating at or below my bmr…

Reassurance - cals & exercise
I'm new to the EM2WL & the road map that's on the forums. I've worked out my TDEE & BMR and I'm eating about 100cals above my BMR, at 1650 a day. This is manageable, I've gone over once but only up to 1700. My limit if I need it is 2000 cals. I work out 3-4 times per week. I do 35-45 mins walk/run with C25K 3 times per…

How to adjust cals with an injury?
Okay, so here's my story. I've been eating more (and loving it) for almost two months now. I had my RMR tested and base my daily cals on that, combined with the info from Heybales' spreadsheet and my BMF armband. I also started lifting heavy at the same time (2-3 times a week) and cut my cardio down to 2 days a week. I…

TDEE - Decided to up my cals - Can I go for it all at once?
Hi everyone. Ive decided I want to start going by my TDEE rather than my 1900 cal a day MFP calories. I just ordered a Bodymedia Fit LINK and I will use its recommendations for my TDEE. I have been using MFP for 8 weeks now, I was wondering if it would be okay if I raised my cals at once and start going by my TDEE or…

Eating isn't my entertainment anymore!
Before I made the decision to eat better and be more active I used to find myself ALWAYS in the kitchen looking for food, like a mouse; sneeking around the refrigerator or the cabinets looking for something to eat. I then started going to the gym, or the park for walks or a run, my mind started to think of doing THOSE…

Weight not moving.
So my weight isn't moving, I've been on the scale twice in 3-4 weeks and it just hasn't budged its been down .2 and up .2. Shockingly I'm not overly depressed HA but I'm wanting suggestions?? I eat via the tdee method and I'm also a nursing mom. I lift 3-4 days a week and do insanity 4-5 days a week. I walk 3-4 days a week…

Gosh I feel better.......
So Im now 2 weeks in to EM2WL and am absolutely loving it... some changes I have already noticed:- - I havnt been hungry once , in fact some evenings I have had to have some healthy snacks to eat all my calories. I KNOW that following this plan for the rest of my life will be a whole lot easier than starving myself :) -…

Still unsure about the deficit - is this OK?
Can a 250-300 kcal deficit from TDEE (about 10-15%) really be enough when you only need to lose like 10-15 lbs at most? I don't mind losing it slowly (or even *very* slowly), I don't even weigh myself more than once or twice a month-I focus more on measurements. I've been stuck at a too low calorie limit for the past 2…
