I'm going with water weight also, so don't be disappointed if you don't even lose half of that the next week, it happens to us all :)

Depends on how much you have to lose and how long you have to do it!

Sunday is always the day which catches me out - it is my 'study day' (i'm studying a Masters), as i'm not that motivated to do anything after work during the week. So i just stay in the house all day at my computer, and the urge to snack and binge out of boredom is ridiculous. I can easily fluctuate by 4/5lbs overnight…

I don't really bother with breakfast to be honest. One of my favs though if I'm doing breakfast or morning snack is egg muffins - literally just need a muffin tin, crack a couple of eggs, mix them up and pour them in. You can add fillings too, just line the bottom of the muffin tin before adding the egg, my favourites are…

What's your daily calorie allowance? Do you have a 'set' amount of calories you would like to eat for breakfast, lunch, etc? That way we can make suggestions that fit in :)
-
This is exactly the reason i stopped having cheat days - i just never knew when or how to stop and it would last for days, and i would up gaining more than i lost. Stop cutting things out of your diet unless you have a medical reason to do so. Eat the things you enjoy, just fit them into your calorie allowance. Yesterday i…

I love this! I would love for someone to come up with a solid definition of 'processed foods' when asked. Or a list of the toxins they want to 'cleanse' from their body, just once in one of these threads. I don't think i have ever seen a cleanse thread where this question has been asked and OP ACTUALLY gives us a…

Also, when was the last time you fit nicely into that size 16 dress and were 25lbs lighter? I don't know where you are, but here in the UK, clothing sizes have gotten larger over the past few years - what was a size 18 is now actually a 16, etc. I have plenty of old clothes in one size that are too small, but clothes of…

You don't need to lose weight, you need to lift weights!

Actually, (and this is just me personally), I found that pre-planning not always works out so well. I used to be the same - I would pre-plan, pre-pack, and take my lunch to work with me, but was still eating it all by about 10am. I knew I should wait, I knew I had a plan, but for some reason (lack of discipline) still find…

Strong and lean too! Being skinny don't mean a thing to me if you still have fat jiggling around when you walk. Seriously.

Today my motivation is seeing that I've gained half of the stone I lost back. Nope. Been a victim of an irregular routine making me think it is OK to eat rubbish. Time to ditch that mindset and get back on the wagon!

Don't even attempt it, especially after just having given birth. 20lbs in a month is practically unattainable of you do the math and realise the deficit you would have to have each day. Any reason why you want to lose it asap?

Do you weigh all your food? If not, chances are you are eating more than 1000 (and for your health's sake, I hope so. That coupled with the amount of red bull's and hot chocolate you drink sounds terrible for your body), which is a common error a lot of people make. Do you weigh everything with a food scale which does…

It's down to CICO (calories in vs calories out). Science! Doesn't matter what it is you eat or the quality, that principle will always apply.

I thought I was plateauing-for over a month I wasn't losing any weight, just fluctuating between the same 3lbs. Turns out, I just needed to tighten up my logging as I was overeating. Weight has started coming right off again.

On a note, I work for a Halls of Residence and where we are (and most uni's I know) this is against the regulations so you may want to check that out first! I lost 3 dress sizes whilst I was at uni, so it can be done! Ditch the cafeteria, buy your own food and cook your own meals, take them with you to lectures, etc. If…

I have found pre-planning really helps if I know I am going out in the evenings, make it all fit into my daily calories. It can be frustrating when you have only allocated yourself two drinks and everyone else is getting drunk, but I just think which do I want more? Plus, I am terrible for binging when I have a hangover,…

Exercise. Pretty much the best and only.

I would second this, I have found the same in the past; thought 'oh wow, that was a lot of food!' but when I actually log it, not anywhere near as much as I thought I was consuming!
-
Don't rise to it, and be proud of your success! I would tell her that I was sick of being fat and my doctor recommended I lose some weight so I started watching what I was eating and viola! Now I feel great about myself, it's really been a life changer! And remember, you have the option to walk away. Even if you have to…

Use a food scale. Eat less than you burn.

A 'magic diet'? Please do tell. I am automatically wary of anything with the word 'diet' because diet implies that you are embarking on a quick fix and not something you can sustain for the rest of your life. There is only one way to lose weight, and that is eating less calories than you burn. Various diets help people…

My mother is exactly the same; feeding me is her way of showing she cares, and whilst she does try to make healthy things, she too doesn't really understand my individual 'needs'. But i try and look at it from her perspective; it must be difficult, raising a human being who is solely dependent on you for so long, then they…

Three posts in one day on a diet I have never heard of before..... Coincidence?
-
This. I'm afraid i don't see any difference in the pictures, but it won't be long, keep it up :)

One of my pet-hates is when people do the whole 'you didn't gain it all in a week, you won't lose it all in a week!' When I used to binge I could easily eat an extra 3000 calories in one evening, and that is having gone over my calories for the day. Added up over a week, you are looking at a possible 7lbs gain. That would…

None of them. Seriously.

.....I really don't get the point of this post. Ummm....congrats?
