A cookie dough ball from the freezer- because I wanted it, and I had 529 calories left after exercising. It actually put me within 1% of my macro goals, so I guess it was meant to be. ;)

I find that drinking a diet soda makes it easier for me to skip sweets set out at parties. It is sweet enough to help me resist the heavier treats. Since I feel obesity is my greatest health threat right now, I'm okay with consuming diet sodas.

Splenda. Oh, the stomach pain!

I was there today also. There are many things we get there, but two I didn't see mentioned above are their whole wheat hamburger buns, and Truly Handmade Whole Wheat Tortillas. They are the best whole wheat buns I've had. We also use their dishwasher detergent, which is free of chlorine bleach.

Thanks for posting this. My daily weights are definitely up and down. Last month I took a screen shot of someone's graph that shows zigzags just like mine. It makes me feel better, to see that the overall trend can be impressive, even when it doesn't seem like it on any given week.

I wish! But I suppose you really meant 50-75%

Given the high calorie content of fried foods, I wouldn't be willing to give up so many calories to something that would leave me needing to eat another meal shortly. Because I am not good at eating just a few fries, I'd probably just order a drink or something else. For a very occasional treat, I'd order what I like and…

That's great  I started with MFP less than 2 months ago, so I remember the beginning well. It was hard to get things right, and I was a bit hungry, and I was used to lots of snacking in the afternoon. After a few days I found popcorn, cucumbers, and black coffee were good for satisfying the need to snack. They…

The sodium content of prepared soups has definitely stopped me from buying them. I eat at restaurants a few times a month, and that food can be very salty. I can tell by how puffy my eyes are the next day. I don't worry about the sodium content of chips and crackers, because I eat modest portions of them.

More inspirational transformations- I love them all!

Great job!

You should be smiling, that's an amazing loss!

Wow!

I didn't know that was possible with underwires. LOL.

Good luck in your weight loss journey!

15 lbs Portion Control or Flexible Eating. I'm not really sure what the difference is.

This was very helpful to me also. Thank you for posting it.

You look amazing! Great job.

Awesome! 15% is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations!

I took Topamax for migraines and found the side effects unbearable. I don't think I lost weight on it, but I wasn't really keeping track at the time.

I get what you are saying about the spreadsheet being thrown off. LOL. That would bug me too. When I bought a new scale, that showed a 2.5 lb weight gain, it drove me crazy. I finally went back and altered the data on all of my past weights by 2.5 pounds.

Awesome!

No advice- but I'm sorry you are dealing with a migraine that won't end. I've been there, and still remember the misery. :( I hope you get relief from the headache and the plateau soon!

Keeping notes about what good and bad food choices during the day, and why I made them. It sounds silly, but it helped me feel like I was taking control of my choices. Also, looking back at what I struggled with a month ago helps me realize how far my thinking has come. :)

I feel that way after eating some of the new things I've added to my diet, especially protein bars, protein shakes, and Fiber One cereal. Sometimes the discomfort doesn't start for a few hours, which makes it hard to pinpoint a specific food. Have you been eating those types of foods?

I actually find Ezekiel bread to be helpful in limiting calories. It is certainly edible, and when toasted is a great vehicle for toppings, but it isn't so yummy that I would want to eat any more than necessary. LOL. I pretty much eat what I need to help reach fiber goals, but have never felt tempted to eat more than I had…

Can you see a physical therapist? My PT helped correct some issues in my back so that I could stand and walk for longer periods without pain. That made all exercise more pleasant. My doctor recommends swimming, but I don't care for pools. Walking outside is my preferred way to exercise.

I am counting calories all day long belong I am unhealthy and losing weight is necessary. I think it is "normal" for me to do, because I am correcting a problem. Clearly my innate sense of portion control is out of whack, or I wouldn't have all this weight to lose. It would be abnormal for my healthy preteen and teenage…

I used to be that way also. In high school and college, I drank Diet Mt Dew every morning, along with my standard breakfast of chewy chips ahoy cookies. :( Sadly, it never crossed my mind that this was a bad way to live. I don't do that now, and haven't for decades. If I can stop, so can you. Honestly, I just made up my…
