Also, any exercise you do for your glutes will be in vain if you haven't figured out how to really get your glutes firing. Google flute activation, search for flute activation videos on YouTube and make sure your flutes are really working before you start your workout. My favorite is from a video Bret contreras put on…

Are you seeing a professional about your anxiety? In the meantime, maybe work on building your fitness confidence by doing some YouTube workouts or DVDs at home....I wish you the best in your journeys of physical and mental health!

That's awesome! It only gets better from here!

Tj maxx, marshalls, poshmark, I have some leggings from sams that I love, a couple tops that were from gap on clearance that I really like.
-
I like to check out marshalls or tj max for workout clothes. Sometimes you have to dig but you can usually find brand name Stuff for half the price. Also if you find an expensive pair in the store that fit well, try searching for them on a site like poshmark. Often you can find stuff new with or without tags or lightly…

Yeah the scale has gone up about 2-3 pounds in 6 months or so and its frustrating bc I am so diligent with my logging and weigh and measure, on and on, and I can't help but think I'm trusting the Fitbit data a little too much. I hate to unsync it with mfp bc it's a really big motivator for me.

I feel your pain! My only solution was to get a gym membership, which I got pretty much the second we moved to this eternally hot and sweaty place, but I also take walks with the little one pretty much daily. In the past week or so I've had to wait until as late as possible to go because of the heat/humidity. I haven't…

Maybe an adductor strain? I'm pretty sure that's what I strained (doing deadlifts, not running, but runners are also susceptible) and the pain does not have to be in the groin area to be an adductor strain. My pain was also in the hip area as well as the outer thigh, but not the knee. You should ask a physiotherapist and…

What extra exercises do you tack on and how did you fit them in, how many sets, etc. I've been wanting to do a kind of modified sl's (bc that's pretty much what I've been doing just probably way too many accessories) so I'm curious as to what others do....

Now that is a great idea. I don't know why it's never occurred to me to do that. I only live five mins away from the gym.

I'll look it up, thank you!

Thanks everybody!

Looks like she's practicing posing for a competition. I'm highly skeptical about the two months. people are crazy.

Yes. Exercising will change the shape of your body, lifting weights the most dramatically (in my opinion). My goal was to get back to pre baby weight of 155 pounds. I had 30 pounds to lose. I ended up losing about 33 but instead of being my previous size 9/10 I am now a size 6/7. My waist is smaller, all of my measurements…

Yes, mine are converse :) love them for squat and deadlift days

I started focusing on increasing my deadlift weight, negatives, pull-ups with Bands, and using the assisted pull up machine. After a few months of these I got my first one!

I feel you op. Water weight can be frustrating especially when you are still doing everything you know you should be doing but you're not seeing that number drop, which regardless of whether you should focus on it or not, for most of us, that number dropping IS motivating. This is my experience. I began my journey…

All of these are great. I also like split squats, smith machine kneeling squats, wide stance leg press(toes pointed out), and bosu ball squats using a mini band.

Lifting heavy made me supah bulky!! Left is November 2014 at 181 pounds and right is 151 pounds a month ago after lifting heavy for about 7-8 months.

Lululemon makes a really great thing and Victoria's Secret also has a great one that has a bit more coverage than the lululemon one.

Deadlifts! Worked up to a PR of 200 lbs! I'm super proud of myself. Deadlifting makes me feel like such a beast. I love it.
-
Usually takes me between 1:10 - 1:20 plus 10-20 mins cardio. At 35 minutes, the endorphins are just starting to get going for me! I enjoy a long time at the gym though.
-
Yoga ball leg curls Bosu ball squats holding a kettlebell and with a mini band around legs (just above the knee) <burnnnnn the glutes!

I think there's a huge difference in your chin and neck area. Keep up the good work!

30 pounds lost

I had 35 pounds to lose and eating in the middle of the night was/still is at times an issue for me. It's like I worked so hard during the day to restrict that I would finally let my guard down Once I went to bed so it was like I was safe to eat something. I almost would trick myself into believing in that sleepy groggy…
